A beat can still sell off when the market was positioned for a beat-plus. Coming in around $213, NVDA was already +13% YTD and only 9.5% below its May all-time high, so the hurdle wasn’t “record revenue.” It was whether guidance was strong enough to create new buyers, not just satisfy the ones already in.

But, after a good report I see most big companies go down for a day or two, and in the next weeks it could jump up.
