L2 narrative & revenue generation are struggling so they need to get creative. Here's what Arbitrum came up with: Arbitrum DAO is voting on two new revenue streams. 1. Priority Gas Auctions replaces old Timeboost: pay a higher tip, get ordered first. Same as Ethereum. Simple. 2. The Fast Feed This one is clever. After the sequencer orders txs, that order has real value for MEV searchers, MMs and propAMMs... so Arbitrum will sell early access to it as a subscription. - Ordering is already final when the feed publishes, so no frontrunning or sandwiching - ~100 tickets sold per day, price starts at $17 and changes with demand (EIP-4844 style curve) - Anyone can subscribe, it's permissionless but paid 97% of revenue from both go to the DAO treasury, 3% to the dev guild. Sad that the proposal gives no potential earnings but the Foundation asked the DAO for ~$43.5M to fund 2027 while the DAO made $23.49M in 2025 so they REALLY need to close that gap. Btw, I voted Yes for the proposal. I'd love to increase my $ARB delegation so if you have $ARB sitting around pls delegate to my address: 0x3DDC7d25c7a1dc381443e491Bbf1Caa8928A05B0

@DefiIgnas This is like paying extra to get ahead in the queue on the stock exchange, huh? 😂 But it makes sense, if DAO knows how to raise money, it will be sustainable in the long run.

@DefiIgnas like that Arbitrum is looking beyond token incentives and trying to monetize actual infrastructure demand

Rostyslav_Crypto @CryptoRostyslav · D

@DefiIgnas Selling sequencer access is just the new way to monetize the churn.

@DefiIgnas selling sequencing speed is just paywalling stability

@DefiIgnas The sequencer just found a second checkout lane

@DefiIgnas timeboost rebranding makes sense, but Priority Gas Auctions just sounds like MEV with extra steps. Still better than nothing for sustainability though.

@DefiIgnas That's pretty cool actually. Rent out the sequencer as I think it's just FIFO at the moment? And the MEV isn't arbing off L1 blobspace it's just latent. Nice work offchain labs!

Cairdrops @asmaaa_099 · D

@DefiIgnas Monetizing the sequencer like that is actually pretty clever for DAO revenue

Defi_Noal @Defi_Noal_ · D

@DefiIgnas Selling finalized orderflow is clever; the $43.5M gap is the real arb

I think, L2s need to make some of the rev generating products themselves, which will eventually become flagship products. And overall increase the user, tvl in their chain. The problem is, endless L2 chains. Solution?? Make something, which only you have. One product which will carry the load of the whole chain, and make overall profitable.

@DefiIgnas We need Abstract to save ETH's L2s...

@DefiIgnas Why wouldnt they incorporate a utility and accrual value mechanism for the $ARB token?

@DefiIgnas No narratives, just fundamentals Arbitrum will be one of the only projects in crypto with multiple growing revenue streams feeding back to a token holder controlled treasury More to come 😉 x.com/bfresh/status/2089421579…

@DefiIgnas Fast feed idea actually pretty clever

CryptoNinjas @crypto_ninjas · 59K D

@DefiIgnas Auctioning priority gas is a logical move to align Arbitrum with Ethereum fee structures.

0xRahul @omw_to_the_moon ·

@DefiIgnas I don't think I understand. If the ordering is already final when the feed is published, why does it have any value for anyone since you can't do any mev?

@DefiIgnas The next distinction is revenue vs value capture. A new revenue stream matters when you can trace: who pays → what the DAO keeps → what it costs to generate → where the net cashflow goes. “More revenue” and “more value for ARB holders” aren’t automatically the same statement.

Omega @omega_netw0rk · 97K A

@DefiIgnas Selling early access to the order flow is just MEV with a subscription page and better fonts.

Wag3s @W3Wag3s ·

@DefiIgnas 97% to the treasury sounds clean until you see how few daos can actually account for where it goes after

Vincent in Quest @vincentinquest ·

@DefiIgnas thx for voting sir

Cryptoartmaster @VitalijMatros · C

@DefiIgnas Prioritizing gas tips feels like just moving existing fees around without creating real new value for l2 growth yet.

@DefiIgnas I wasn’t referring to buy backs but an accrual value mechanism that incorporate $ARB more with the @arbitrum ecosystem and creates value that way. The monthly unlocks are coming to an end in~ 6 months. How do you see this impacting $ARB?
