BREAKING: Total onchain transaction count on Solana hit a record 4.2 billion in July, up +13.5% month-over-month. This marks an increase of 2 billion transactions compared to December 2025, or +91%. The surge in activity comes as Solana, $SOL, rallied +40% in 8 days to its highest level since February 3rd. Also contributing to the increase in Solana onchain trading activity is tokenized assets, with RWA market cap now above $38 billion. Several onchain platforms have helped catalyze this growth, including Jupiter which now processes 71% of DEX aggregator volume on Solana. In total, crypto has added +$580 billion in market cap since August 16th. Onchain trading activity is officially back to record highs.

@KobeissiLetter Problem with trading on chain. If exchange gets hacked, bankruptcy, anything you have zero protection. They do not own you the share, NO ONE DOES....

@KobeissiLetter Record transaction count is the headline, but it is not the cleanest demand metric. The stronger confirmation would be sustained fee revenue, active traders, stablecoin settlement and RWA value on Solana after the price rally cools.

Price gets the attention. Usage tells the bigger story. 4.2B transactions in a single month and +91% since December is a serious acceleration in network activity. For $SOL, the key question now is whether activity can sustain the price expansion — or if price has moved too far, too fast. Follow the data, not the hype.

@KobeissiLetter Record activity is notable, but transaction count alone isn’t the full picture. The stronger signal is whether non-vote activity, liquidity, DEX volume and economic value confirm the growth.

@KobeissiLetter Cool chart

Impressive growth, though the headline transaction count needs context. Solana’s activity includes bots, arbitrage, and automated transactions, so unique users, economic volume, fees, and sustained organic demand are just as important as raw throughput. The rise in tokenised assets and Jupiter’s share of aggregator volume still points to stronger infrastructure and liquidity, but durable adoption will be the real test. 📈 Please read my latest X: x.com/tekkaus/status/209223961…

Solana’s usage metrics finally catching up with the price action — 4.2B txns is genuinely a record, not just a beta rally. RWA tokenization ($38B) and Jupiter’s DEX dominance (71%) suggest actual utility growth, not pure speculation. Worth watching if txn growth holds once the $SOL rally cools — that’s the real tell vs. just momentum-driven wash trading.

@KobeissiLetter 4.2 billion transactions for $0 in fees because Solana’s inflation model pays validators from thin air while Ethereum gas covers real costs. volume is vanity. yield is sanity

@KobeissiLetter Record tx count is the fun headline, but the fee overhaul is the real number. It could 14x the daily SOL burn, from ~$47k to ~$650k, and the vote closes Thursday around 3:30pm UTC. I've flagged the burn math before, now the usage backs it up. That's a catalyst with a date on it.

The Markets Story @themarketsstory ·

Worth flagging for anyone new: Solana’s raw transaction count includes validator vote transactions. The number that actually measures user demand is non-vote txns. Still growing — just a much less dramatic chart. Activity ≠ economic value. Fees paid tell you who’s really there.

@KobeissiLetter Record activity is notable, but the key question is what sits behind the volume — organic usage, capital flows, and sustained network demand. On-chain growth becomes more meaningful when it translates into durable liquidity and adoption.

OG | AI & Markets @0xCapexOG · D

The $38B RWA figure isn't Solana-specific, it's the entire cross-chain tokenization market. Solana's own July ecosystem report puts its actual RWA value at $3.73 billion, real growth, but a fraction of that headline number. One asset category is quietly doing most of the real work behind that growth, and it's not the one most people assume.

@KobeissiLetter 4.2B monthly transactions is a strong activity signal, but count alone cannot separate durable demand from bots or cheap spam. Pair it with fee revenue, unique users, value transferred and validator economics. Which metric best explains July’s jump?

Bellwether Research (Ian Andy) @BellwetherRsrch · D

At a fraction of a cent a go, 4 billion is a number the arb bots can put up on a quiet afternoon with no humans involved❗️ Fee revenue is the version of that stat that costs something to manufacture...it moves far less dramatically. Stronger line in there is Jupiter at 71% of aggregator flow because someone has to route real size for that to mean anything at all.

Whale Grid @WhaleGrid · D

July data, posted August 25, explained by a rally you date to the last 8 days. The causality runs backwards — an August move can't drive July transaction counts. And transaction count is a weak proxy for demand here. Blockworks Research put proprietary market-maker AMMs at roughly 20% of all Solana transactions — quote updates and arbitrage, not users. Fee revenue softened even as the count set records.

@KobeissiLetter Transaction count is the vanity metric of crypto. Solana did 4.2B in July, but at near-zero fees that mostly measures bots and MEV, not people. Fees, not transactions.

B&S @bohdanslava · D

@KobeissiLetter 4.2 billion transactions in one month. While Twitter argues about which chain is “dead,” Solana is out here doing cardio.

@KobeissiLetter Absolutely massive milestone for Solana. 4.2 billion onchain transactions in a single month shows the network's utility and adoption are on another level, and pairing that with a 40% price surge in just 8 days is incredible momentum. Well deserved.

@KobeissiLetter 4.2B is a fun headline but solana txn counts include validator votes and a pile of failed bot txs. jupiter at 71% isn't broad adoption, it's one chokepoint. so is this actual user growth or just memecoin bots front-running etf filings?

Hariharan Jayakumar @jhariharan72 · D

@KobeissiLetter tx count is easy to pump with bots and memecoin trading though. would be more curious about active addresses and actual fee revenue trend, that tells you if it's real usage or just noise from trading bots

Adel Bucetta @adelbucetta · D

@KobeissiLetter solana's tx count jumped more than bitcoin's last quarter and that's a big deal because most blockchains can't scale with the volume if it keeps rising like this.
