Phyrex's data analysis is as solid as ever; the recent inflow strength of the ETH ETF is indeed impressive, with large net inflows in a single day and a cumulative increase of 287,000 ETH over 7 days. However, one comparison is worth scrutinizing: "ETH has seen an increase of 287,000 coins in the past 7 days, while BTC has seen a return of 24,200 coins, therefore ETH has higher liquidity"—this comparison using "coin count" is unfair and must be converted to USD. A rough calculation: BTC 24,200 coins × approximately $77,000 ≈ $1.86 billion; ETH 287,000 coins × approximately $2,500 ≈ $720 million. In USD terms, BTC's inflow is actually more than double that of ETH. The conclusion that "ETH has higher liquidity" is precisely because it uses a unit of measurement favorable to ETH (ETH's price is only one-thirtieth of BTC's). When comparing fund flows across assets, USD must be used, not cryptocurrency. Adding another point of context: the chart shows "-240,227 ETH since 2026, -3.93%"—meaning there's still a net outflow year-to-date. Therefore, the recent strong inflows are more about correcting the year-to-date outflows than a new high in net new inflows. These two points don't change the fact that ETH has been strong recently, but they can help make the assessment more accurate.
