Twitter needs an ability to hide all posts and disallow all comments / retweets from anon accounts. If you’re not putting your name behind what you’re writing, I don’t want to see it.

@HadickM And filter out anything that is AI-probable above a user-specified threshhold

@HadickM kinda weird take. anon accounts usually are the ones that share alpha because doxxed people tweet for the sake of marketing themselves or their biz forced doxxing is a sin

@HadickM countless high value anon accounts. countless low value facer accounts. you're stretching for some correlation here that doesn't exist

milly.hl @milly_rock7 · D

@HadickM Anon accounts are the whole point for a lot of people though Killing that would gut half the platform

2
Samir @heysamir_ · B

What about something with zk where in your profile you state who you are and credentials and then there’s a way to verify without disclosing name? And then user can set threshold of credentials to allow comments? “Allow only people with 3yrs of crypto experience who actually read my post comment on it”

@HadickM Can I interest you in linkedin? Some of the best alpha comes from anon account, not just on X, same goes for e.g. github. Most of us are pseudo anons anyway. I have also met many of the "anon" accounts, not much difference when there is full name behind them

@HadickM I cannot agree more

@HadickM Ah - the good ol' "open yourself to wrench attacks to earn some internet clout from VC's" gambit. Come on Rob - I thought you were a serious person.

@HadickM Yeah that policy has made LinkedIn the bastion of free flowing debate

@HadickM it's called linkedin and it's the worst thing that's come out of the internet that's what you want so you get the praise and fluff you desire btw u look like a serial killer x.com/Brian_A_E/status/2089063…

@HadickM the entire platform runs on anon accounts generating the engagement that keeps it alive. taking that away kills the fire, not just the noise

@HadickM you belong on linkedin

@HadickM As someone who has been pressured by VCs and bosses to not post truthful takes on Twitter because it would be bad for their bags, it’s important to maintain anon accounts - they also are often the highest signal if you know how to diligence

@HadickM Is that why you skipped BTC early on, so now resort to farming LP fees as a back up?

@HadickM In 99% of cases, anons are just cowards

@HadickM @dunleavy89 You know you work in crypto, right?

Randian Capital @RandianCapital ·

@HadickM Dumb take. Plenty of people need to be anonymous for fear of repercussions. The founders wrote under pen names. Were they cowards?

@HadickM Go back to linkdin then. This place is for permissionless zk debate. Most of this dying site is for bots anyways, and you don’t have to engage with anon humans who disrespect you, you can block them. This will never be a collaborative, productive website. Stop whining.

@HadickM Many topics require anonymity for safety

adiii.eth @0xPutAmaterasu ·

@HadickM anons built this industry.

Adel Bucetta @adelbucetta · D

@HadickM the honest answer is that anonymity just hides the worst behavior, not prevents it. real accountability comes from being known, even if you can't get rid of anons altogether

Confido @Confidoisbig · D

@HadickM I agree

@HadickM Yeah it's pretty easy but AIs can be "skilled" to speak like you and thus I imagine with just a little bit of effort it gets a lot harder to tell Add a little bit of human editing and it's likely impossible

@panekkkk Yea it’ll definitely continue to get better. It’s a good idea.

Tim Maxx @t1mmaxx · 28K C

@HadickM by opting out i guarantee your feed will be institutionalized to the point where you get 0 alpha and 99% marketing if you want that, idk

@AnnicaBenning @tomhschmidt @gwern I think if you put Tom’s feed and my feed side to side there would be, at best, like 30% overlap and it would be the worse part of both of our feeds
