Fomo and pump fun generate more fees than Hyperliquid because of low crypto (and currently equities) volatility. Memecoins will die out soon and in a few weeks HL will be back on top. Screenshot this

@DefiIgnas sorry but no , keep coping memecoins can't die its like saying tiktok is going to die
@DefiIgnas betting on hype over memecoins in a low vol market is a bold take man
@DefiIgnas Predicting meme cycle death is a classic cope, heard it since 2017.
@DefiIgnas memecoins have "died" a dozen times already though so the screenshot might age poorly
@DefiIgnas Yeah, it’s hilarious to see people cherry picking a single data point on a low vol Sunday when BTC’s implied volatility is at historical lows
@DefiIgnas so low vol is the only thing keeping meme fees above HL right now i guess that flips the moment a real move comes back
@DefiIgnas low vol makes everything look dead, but memes always find a pulse
@DefiIgnas Agree, its been almost a year since 10/10 hopefully we can get some momentum back in crypto
@DefiIgnas Depends on the window. Over 24h pump.fun does $1.47M against $0.84M for Hyperliquid perps and spot combined, so the read holds. Over 30 days it flips: Hyperliquid $45.8M versus $30.1M. Add PumpSwap at $2.7M today and the weekend gap widens.
@DefiIgnas thats exactly when memes tend to get interesting though when majors give traders nothing to do, they go looking for volatility somewhere else
@DefiIgnas screenshotting a prediction about fees and volatility is wild this is like the receipt you show nobody asked for
@DefiIgnas calling the top on memecoins is bold low vol is the only reason HL slipped and that never lasts
@DefiIgnas So we think Majority of crypto people are better at doing leverage trades rather than buying memecoins ?
@DefiIgnas so the thesis is low vol pumps fees and memecoins fade but that assumes vol stays low and no new shiny thing grabs attention first
@DefiIgnas new gen prefers dumb gambling buying a cute blue cat is way more fun than trading XXXX with 52x leverage the social layer also played a big role here
@DefiIgnas Nasdaq just swung down 10% and then back up to ATHs but it’s low volatility?
@DefiIgnas I think memes will always be part of crypto. The truer take here imo is that fomo and pumpfun are negative sum games built and monopolized by dark triad humans for the sole purpose of enriching themselves. do
@DefiIgnas memecoins won’t die out anytime soon no need to screenshot this
@DefiIgnas Degenerates will ALWAYS be around, therefore MEMES will always be around
@DefiIgnas Memecoins will die , kept hearing this ever since I joined CT in 2024. I think it’s mainly from people who have been here past cycle mostly comparing with NFTs. Memecoins are the best proxy for trading attention and we are in attention economy.
@DefiIgnas your washed memecoins will never die its impossible memes are becoming a currency all of genz knows about memes now we just need to teach them how to trade memecoins
@DefiIgnas HL already outpaces both on revs by a wide margin. People aren’t including AQAv2.
@DefiIgnas Memecoins won’t die out if they’re fundamentally backed and embedded into more sustainable prediction markets. The reiteration is coming. Screenshot this
@DefiIgnas Lol memecoins will NEVER die as long as crypto is still a thing
