@KobeissiLetter No wonder the others crash as well

@KobeissiLetter $15 billion equity raise to fund the AI buildout. Dilution first, results later. The market is pricing that in immediately.

@KobeissiLetter if the balance sheet could fund this internally they wouldn't be issuing at a five day low

Azraël @azrael_options ·

@KobeissiLetter Dilution is the real story here. $15B in new shares hits existing holders hard, that's why $INTC is down 5%. AI buildout is a long term bet but the market is pricing in immediate share count pain. Watch how the offering is structured.

@KobeissiLetter We’re in a tricky phase where companies need to spend on capex to fully realise the potential of AI whilst the market is asking whether the capex to EBITDA potential will pay off. All comes down to strategy pay off and also communication of said strategy.

@KobeissiLetter Aka capex came knocking. If the balance sheet could cover debt expenses it would. Not a good look.

Mani Builds @hey_itsmani ·

@KobeissiLetter $15B raised specifically for AI compute buildout -not distress. Intel's Q2 revenue was up 25% YoY. Dilution concerns are fair, but this is a chipmaker going all-in on AI infrastructure.

@KobeissiLetter Intel is basically asking shareholders to take the dilution now and trust that AI growth pays for it later.

@KobeissiLetter Good on them, the majority of the AI complex should be raising cash through common issuance with these lofty valuations. If the market gives you far too much capital, its your obligation and duty to take it. Precisely why companies go public in the first place x.com/UnclePennyBagz3/status/2…

Scalar Field (YC P25) @scalar_field_ ·

@KobeissiLetter Important distinction: $INTC filed a $15B shelf, not a confirmed issuance. At $97, raising the full amount would mean roughly 155M new shares and every 10% drop in price requires about 11% more shares.

This is the other side of the AI CapEx boom. $META, $GOOG, $MSFT and $AMZN can fund massive AI investment from operating cash flow. $INTC is issuing $15B of equity to fund the buildout. Same AI opportunity. Very different cost of capital. That distinction matters enormously for shareholders.

@KobeissiLetter The $15 billion issuance at depressed valuations permanently dilutes existing shareholders, raising the bar for any future AI returns to justify the new capital.

FXE Capital™ @FXE_Capital ·

This is where the AI boom gets interesting. If companies increasingly need to issue equity to fund the buildout, the market is starting to question who ultimately finances the AI capex cycle and what return that capital generates. That matters for the broader US investment cycle, not just $INTC.

1
Tech News @tech_summaries ·

The $15 billion raise is a massive bet on their foundry turnaround. Dilution is the immediate pain point, but the market is really pricing in the execution risk of their 14A process. If they don't land a major external foundry client soon, this cash won't be enough to bridge the gap.

@KobeissiLetter These things are so bullish and yet the stock dumps. Shows you how retarded people still are when it comes to what AI is capable of doing.

Dealing.Com @dealinginvest ·

@KobeissiLetter A useful one to understand: raising money by issuing new shares dilutes the ones that already exist; each share becomes a slightly smaller slice of the company. That's often why a stock dips on "we're raising capital," even when the cash funds growth.

Kaan Can Guven @kaanbuildsai ·

@CYologme @reasonus4 @KobeissiLetter Don’t know how you look at a chart like ORCL and see a bubble ready to pop. We’ve been in economic contraction for years according to PMI and other indicators.

Blue Mafia @BlueMafia9 ·

@Harrisonifpd Hard to call an exact bottom, but the market usually overreacts to dilution news in the short term. I’d watch how it holds the low $90s.

Merwan @merwayofthought ·

@TheNewDealOrder @MichaelFSineni @KobeissiLetter Markets aren’t efficient. Headlines and prices don’t necessarily reflect the value.
