@AbAmri This is what I've been saying for a long time. The system of (32) teams distributed across 8 groups was more balanced and competitive!! As for expanding to (48) teams, it increased the number of matches and lengthened the tournament, confirming that economic considerations such as broadcasting rights, sponsorship, tickets, and logistical and operational services were strongly present in this decision.

@AbAmri The tournament starts with the round of 16; what comes before is preparation for the national teams.

@AbAmri Qualifying for the World Cup has become very easy, even for weak teams and countries. Those 48 teams that didn't qualify are in a sorry state. @AbAmri Believe me, Abu Abdul-Ilah, I haven't watched a single match. I might watch some of the Round of 16 matches, and of course the Quarter-Finals and beyond. So, 48 teams...!!! And matches whose results are already known. This is assuming that most of these matches interest you.
