a great brand can still lose momentum. the chart reflects more than sneaker demand. turnarounds require product heat, not nostalgia. twelve-year lows test every long-term shareholder. discounting protects volume while bruising the brand. investors now need proof, not promise. the swoosh needs a new running start.
@Barchart It’s whether this is a broken brand or a broken stock.👀
@Barchart Peak irony is paying forty bucks for polyester socks while the stock quietly reenacts two thousand eight
@Barchart Thanks for sharing this analysis. It is clear, practical, and easy to follow. You and @corp_nick14 are the two market accounts I find myself checking most often.
@Barchart Have you seen what the consumer just did? The share already hit a 12-year low. Demand never came back.
@Barchart Crazy to watch. The problem isn't just the stock price, it's that the product lost its cool factor. Massive potential for a bounce eventually, but leadership needs to actually fix the core lineup first instead of just recycling retros.
@Barchart Your content brings real value to the trading community. I appreciate your dedication and the insights you provide every day. Continuing to learn from you and @BrianReid11BR.
@Barchart Those who bought it at the top got screwed...
@Barchart Ceux qui l'ont acheté en haut se font fait niké..
@Barchart Finally, the multiples are normalizing as a low growth company that Nike is.
@Barchart @ChrisKnight407 Might need to scoop before AI announcement, respectfully
@Barchart mistakes made.pulled out of footlocker to concentrate on direct sales via apps, didn't keep up with running, hoka and others took marketshare, relied too heavily on retro classics, china started buying their own brands, economy, weak sales led to mark downs causing weak profits.
@Barchart @carlquintanilla I mean; who in their right mind buys stocks at their lows when you can wait for the recovery and pay 2-3-4-10x higher when people forget why they even hated to begin with. Abercrombie was hated; racists, lawsuits, you name it. VS was finished because men now like all shapes..🤷♂️😆 x.com/RetiredLifeNC/status/209…
@Barchart Not surprising. We haven't rated $NKE "Buy" in years. x.com/WeissRatings/status/2092…
@Barchart Well, it's time to buy, be happy, why are you so sad about paying so little? Think of those who bought higher up...
@Barchart Et bien il est l'heure d'acheter, sois heureux, pourquoi es tu si triste de payer si peu cher. Pensent à ceux qui ont acheté en haut.....

@LiveMarketChat @Barchart It’s following the typical trajectory of all former growth stocks. It’s now trading like a value stock. What is the new growth catalyst? It’s not China.
@SJOldValueGuy @Barchart Doesnt need growth catalyst, current earnings are priced right ......you call it a value stock.....uhm ok, for me its now investable whereas it wasnt before.
I like the idea, worth watching, and agree it has intangible value, as well as widespread brand recognition. I have it as a watch and market perform for now with the chart in a clear downtrend and no obvious story/catalyst. Morning star ⭐️ agrees with you. 👇 My China guy thinks there is major consumer pushback against all things American… Chinese Gen Z. Anta is continuing to out 🏃♂️ pace Nike. I am struggling to see that story working with some of the cultural issues going on at the moment. Locally in U.S., ON, hoka, NB, ASICS, Adidas have been innovating. I think they will maintain profitability. Elliot move to create more scarcity and whole sale market will pad EPS. I am wondering 🤔 about the growth strategy and multiple. $NKE With that said, we are in a debasement world. Shorting it would be foolish.
