Whisper numbers this far above consensus are usually a lagging signal of the stock’s own momentum rather than an independent forecast. Traders extrapolate the last few blowout prints, then treat that extrapolation as the new floor. When the company later guides inside that self created range, the reaction feels like a miss even if the absolute numbers remain extraordinary. The bar is being set by recent price action more than by supply chain visibility

@DeItaone Whisper Numbers = Big Firms with big options and long/short positions trying to push the stock in their favor. There never is any firm or well known finical analyst that will admit to being the genesis of these totally made up out of no where "whisper numbers".

Whisper numbers are always a trap, either you chase the rumor and get burned at the high, or you wait for the official print and watch the gap fill. Tape shows distribution, not accumulation, into this binary event. The real question is what happens to that $110 billion whisper bar when the actual numbers hit. And whether anyone still believes it after the dust settles.
