@deepakshenoy But why at end stocks not get bought at 1344..Huge difference b/w buy and sell prices..
@deepakshenoy Same type of market depth during IPO listing stocks. Don’t understand why such depth, are these even real numbers?!
@deepakshenoy the 5 order market depth (or even 20 for that matter) should show ±5 or ±20 from the indicative close. this sort of crap display used to happen during the auction session (for short delivery). can't believe it's still continuing. Not everyone has colo servers for full orderbook.
@deepakshenoy Nothing odd in this. Pre open also happens like this for years (at least since i have been seeing for the last 5-6 years), nothing CAS specific
@deepakshenoy So shorters are giving physical deliveries at as low as 1266 and bearing loss.
@deepakshenoy Shouldn't there be some incentive for placing orders closer to the final closing price? What if such orders are matched first and only then match the higher ask and lower bid ones?
@deepakshenoy But why anyone will buy reliance at 1344.90 if price of share was 1304 and such hugh quantity And if he is getting same stock on f&o at 1304
@deepakshenoy Cas is deliberately sabotaged by NSE today before launch it was to be design that all broker terminals can see live but most not enabled atleast bse put like on its website HA***I nse you can watch only one stock at a time. Why cannot they show whole list live like bse. Ipo ipo
@deepakshenoy During normal trading hours Bid Price is always lower than Offer Price. Why it is always reverse during CAS 🤔 @latha_venkatesh
@deepakshenoy If you take any stock during CAS, look at it's spread it is always having negative spread for best bid/ask.
@deepakshenoy Same story I'm observing since day3. Buyers bid at high with huge qty and ask at low. Is there such a market ever exist in this world to buy something available at prices way higher than someone selling at far less. Most confusing pattern. Why not sellers get sold at high price
@deepakshenoy Doubling down on a disaster is the most "Govt" way of doing things.

Market orders (at zero) are showing as 30K buy, 128K sell (so roughly 90K market effectively sell orders) But the indicative equilibrium quantity shows as 376K. So after the market orders are gone, around 275K shares should be executed in the order book. That price should be 1311 or so (indicative ref price) But the order book on NSE or on the broker apps are not showing that price range at all :(
So bids are blind, we don't know what quantities will change anything here on price. The bids and asks around 1311 will eventually determine the close. it turns out it will be 1309.8 This one was close, but we have seen others , like HINDZINC today, which closed at a 1.27% lower than the reference price. (Screenshots below)
Cas will get better as more participants come, and I hope you get a better idea now and can participate when indicative prices are very different from the reference prices.
@deepakshenoy @latha_venkatesh Thank you! I understood but more confused about the need for this CAS circus. Market manipulation is universal as regulators are ex players!
