@CL207 its weird the street lights came on, the birds stopped chirping and the night bugs/frogs started chattering for about 2 minutes then it flipped back on like a light bulb

@CL207 Its a trip, this is the one that went over austin, tx last year. It feels really surreal and like epic in a primordial sense, like i bet humans hundreds of thousands of years ago also were just as in awe of it. x.com/BAYC5511/status/20876714…

@CL207 It’s pretty insane, all the dogs start barking and then the birds all start chirping when it gets bright again

@CL207 I'm going to the Valley of Kings next August to see the total eclipse. Passes directly through Luxor. Longest eclipse until 2114. Astronomical event of a lifetime.

@CL207 Most impressive thing in 1999 for me was when the birds and the crickets/grasshoppers suddenly went totally quiet and everything else was shutdown - just like someone hit a switch. Thats was when i realized how mighty the sun is.

commmon.hype @commmonfi ·

@CL207 Several years ago, we drove to the middle of nowhere for totality. It was incredible. Hope you get to see it someday.

@zariat @CL207 logistics are going to suck. hotels and flights are sold out for days around the event. i’m staying in Hurghada and renting a bus for the drive to Luxor a day early. traffic the day of will be impossible but to see the longest eclipse in a century with this backdrop is worth it x.com/SkotiVi/status/208769697…
