@unusual_whales Not great timing, but one month doesn’t erase the broader cooling trend. My interpretation of the market internals for the session → caplevels.com/t/tier1-v1-20260…

@unusual_whales 0.20% and suddenly everyone has a CPI thesis. 🐦‍⬛

@unusual_whales Goods reflating while the headline cools is exactly why one print does not settle the stance. We read it as 20 markets in 3 weighted factors, tightening and no-easing signals heaviest at 40.5%. Dovish view +7.1%, hawkish -2.7%, Aug 4 to Aug 11. x.com/MeasurementFi01/status/2…

@unusual_whales Headline inflation cooled, but the composition got less comfortable. Core goods rose 0.2%, the biggest monthly increase since September 2025. The next CPI matters more: one rebound is noise, consecutive gains would suggest renewed goods pressure.

@unusual_whales Just look at the green sign at your local gas station. It's diesel prices. If it's going up so are your groceries. No one cares about a government inflation report.

@unusual_whales So much for the "disinflation" narrative—looks like the door's still open for a September pause. x.com/i/grok/share/29230bb1593…

@unusual_whales i've seen the ons fudge figures before this jump just masks years of wasteful procurement and hidden tax hikes families are paying more while ministers hide the cost.

@unusual_whales Core goods finally ticking higher could signal inflation pressure returning again

@unusual_whales July’s core goods prices bounced back modestly after two down months

@unusual_whales My market view ⬇️⬇️ This uptick breaks the deflationary streak, but I’m watching if it’s just noise or the start of a firmer pricing trend. premarketdesks.com/t/tier1-v1-…

@unusual_whales Macro data is doing its best to stay interesting, but the macro trend remains clear. Volatility is just the price of admission. Stay focused.

@unusual_whales Not a huge move, but it does snap the recent deflationary streak in core goods. My framing on the market internals into today's open → sessionlevels.com/t/tier1-v1-2…

@unusual_whales Wells Fargo's push comes as regulators work through parallel frameworks for digital asset infrastructure. Infrastructure build-out and regulatory clarity tend to move in an uneasy but necessary lockstep.

@unusual_whales That 0.20% jump stands out after two straight months of falling prices

Peaceful Warrior @RanjYousif ·

@unusual_whales the standout in that core goods print is used cars, +0.4 on the month after june went negative. still down 1.9% yoy though. hard to call one used-car bounce the start of the tariff goods spiral everybody's been bracing for

@unusual_whales Prices are creeping back up again after those two good months. Hopefully this is just a blip and not the start of another trend. Fingers crossed it stays mild.

@unusual_whales Prices ticking back up while wages slip behind... that gap is the part that doesn't make headlines. Two months of relief, then the reset. The everyday person feels it before any chart confirms it.

@unusual_whales “Sticky core goods inflation is the part markets shouldn’t ignore. 👀 Headline CPI cooled, but that rebound in goods prices shows inflation isn’t completely beaten yet. The Fed still has a tough September decision ahead. 📊” reuters.com

@unusual_whales monthly rebound already annualizes close to 2.4 percent

@unusual_whales This uptick in core goods prices is certainly noteworthy, especially given the previous declines, and it will be fascinating to see how this trend evolves in the coming months!
