CPI EASES PRESSURE ON FED TO HIKE July CPI came in close enough to expectations to reduce pressure on the Fed to raise rates in September, according to Nick Timiraos. The Fed has argued current rates are restrictive enough to bring inflation toward 2% without further hikes. But persistent tariffs, energy pressures and AI-driven demand for technology equipment and software are complicating that outlook. For now, the CPI report gives policymakers more room to hold rates steady.

@DeItaone 🔼 Optimize.

@DeItaone This is the key takeaway from today’s CPI. No upside surprise gives the Fed more room to stay patient. The next few inflation and labor reports will matter a lot for what comes next.

@DeItaone "cooled" "expected" "ease" "dropped" all a word lies to the manipulated CPI. Inflation has been above normal for over 60 months! This is a pure theft of your purchasing power. They plan to inflate the $40 trillion debt away.

@DeItaone CPI print keeps the hold steady case alive, $NVDA $AMD and AI demand still complicate the inflation picture though

@DeItaone FACT: Government spending causes INFLATION!

@DeItaone A relief for markets, at least for now. 📉 The July CPI gives the Fed more reason to stay patient rather than hike in September, but tariffs, energy costs and AI-related demand could still complicate the inflation outlook. 👀

@DeItaone Fed can probably wait and watch

@DeItaone steady rates now, but tariffs and energy could still keep the Fed cautious

@DeItaone CPI is suspiciously always in line with expectations, so in line in fact that whoever is making the expectations should just play the lottery each CPI release because they are wasting their times running inflation models with this good of a streak. x.com/VolatilityWiz/status/208…

@DeItaone Nick说九月不加息,可关税和AI耗电这俩变量真能靠利率按住吗,我反正是持保留态度,你们觉得呢

Jason White @DubJDubU ·

@DeItaone Sure, whatever. FED has been "sufficiently restrictive enough to return inflation to 2%" for 4 years now and has consumers digesting another 100+bps miss. Good story bro.

@DeItaone The Fed is finally catching a break, but AI demand is the new wildcard. Soft landing or not, liquidity is coming back. Bullish.

@DeItaone If inflation stays under control, the Fed might have more room to hold

Fantastic Mr.Stocks @Fantastic_MrSTX ·

@DeItaone Metals read it the same way. Silver is up over 2% at an eight week high and gold is back above $4,400. The offset is Hormuz still being shut with Brent near $89, which keeps the inflation side of the argument alive ⛏️ x.com/Fantastic_MrSTX/status/2…

@DeItaone CPI just gave the Fed one less reason to touch the brakes.
