The issue isn’t whether Coinbase was the original source of the funds, it’s about the custody path and verification process. Moving coins from Coldcard back to an exchange can be a valid emergency decision, but it’s important to understand what triggered the move and whether the user still has control of the keys and records. Self-custody is about having options and understanding the trade-offs, not blindly holding coins off exchanges
