Daily Market Report #813 It is Tuesday. Bitcoin $64,034, up 1.9%, back above $64K. ETH $1,868. SOL $73.80. XRP $1.08. BNB $592. Shorts got squeezed, with $60M of the $87.5M in BTC liquidations coming from shorts. Fear & Greed at 25, still in extreme fear even on a green day. Saylor said, I have never sold my Bitcoin, while Strategy sold 1,638 BTC. The company sold $395M in Bitcoin and MSTR stock to build a $4B cash reserve, reducing its holdings to 842,138 BTC. The company sells, the man says he never sold. Both are technically true, and neither is honest about what is actually happening. The Coldcard hack got worse. Galaxy now puts confirmed losses at 1,596 BTC, with the potential total reaching $130M, up from $88M yesterday. If you have one of those devices and have not moved your coins, stop reading and go do it. CLARITY is a mess. Thune says he still expects a Senate vote within 4 days before recess. Polymarket has the odds down to 27%. The White House still has not responded to the Tillis and Gallego ethics counterproposal, which is the actual sticking point. And Bessent’s crypto aide, Williams, just left the Treasury. The vote is supposedly days away, and the person coordinating it walked out. Stocks are ripping while crypto sits still. The Dow hit an all-time high, the S&P topped 7,600 for the first time since June, hedge funds are rushing back into tech, Palantir soared 12% on earnings, and Amazon crossed a $3T market cap. Bezos sold $4B of Amazon stock into the rally. Crypto is still in extreme fear, with Bitcoin 32% below its high. Same market, two different worlds. Trump says the US now fully controls the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran faces “decapitation” if it does not make a deal, calling this the last chance. A cargo ship reported being struck in Hormuz anyway, and US officials say no new talks are planned. Oil $79.74. Japan spent a record $96B on yen intervention, and Bessent is urging the Fed to help defend it. The 10-year yield pushed to 4.75%. Hyperliquid open interest hit $5.25B, passing Bybit, Kraken, and Coinbase. RWA perps made up more than half of Hyperliquid’s July volume at $25.1B. The venue everyone counts out because of the token price is now bigger than three major exchanges by open interest, and its biggest product is real-world assets, not memecoins. HYPE $54.53, up 4.4%, finally a decent day. BlackRock launched tokenized money market funds on Solana, Ethereum, and Tempo, plus 2 tokenized funds for stablecoin reserves. Franklin Templeton joined Canton Network as a super validator. Mastercard completed its $1.8B BVNK stablecoin deal. Intesa Sanpaolo cut its IBIT call exposure by 99% and tripled its Ethereum staking ETF holdings, which is one European bank saying the quiet part with its balance sheet. Solana closed its 10th straight red month. Ten months. SIMD-0286 just cut fees by 30%, and there is a new proposal to ramp up daily SOL burns. The Foundation is also hiring for AI and stablecoin initiatives. They are doing the work, but the price has not cared since October. The failures keep coming. POAP is shutting down despite partnerships with Coinbase and Amex. Boltz halted swaps because AI attacks are outpacing what the team can handle, which is a new kind of sentence. FalconX cut 10% of its staff and exited Singapore. An ex-FBI supervisor was charged over $1M in crypto theft from a suspect’s accounts and told the court it was “eating him up inside.” Tornado Cash logged 968 deposits, its busiest day of 2026. China built an AI system that detects crypto money laundering with 90% accuracy. Both sides of the privacy war are getting sharper at the same time. Cramer is selling all of his Bitcoin because of quantum fears, which historically has been a decent buy signal. Deutsche Bank set gold’s fair value at $4,700, with a whale betting $23M on it. Gold $4,063 now. China is getting anxious that Anthropic’s Mythos could be used against its economy, and it is becoming a flashpoint ahead of the planned Xi-Trump summit. The White House is hosting AI firms today to discuss a new framework. OpenAI says an internal version of its next model produced 10 new results on unsolved maths and computer science problems using about $2,000 worth of tokens. $2,000 to solve problems people spent careers on. BlackRock is funding a Meta data center with $12.5B, and Nvidia open-sourced its NOOA agent framework. Saylor saying he never sold on the same day his company sold 1,638 coins is the kind of thing that used to shock me. What are you watching?
