AFTER MARKET RECAP — August 4, 2026 The Coldcard exploit just stopped being three coordinated attackers and became a free-for-all — and Bitcoin still isn't blinking. BTC's at $64,306 (+0.75%), ETH at $1,877 (+0.47%), SOL at $74.31 (+0.6%), XRP flat at $1.079. Galaxy Research now counts at least 15 separate attackers racing to drain the same vulnerable wallets, with losses jumping from $89M to $130M overnight — over 2,055 BTC gone across 7,700+ addresses. Coldcard's own team issued an urgent public warning today telling users to migrate funds immediately. The pattern's the real story: victims' coins sat untouched for an average of 3.18 years before getting swept — this is long-term holders getting burned, not day traders. And smaller wallets are moving funds onto exchanges for safety, the exact reverse of the self-custody flight that followed FTX. Price staying flat through a number that's grown 46% in 24 hours tells you the market's pricing this as contained to self-custody, not systemic. What this means for traders: $64K's the line. Held clean through the worst Coldcard headline yet — but if that loss number keeps climbing into tomorrow without a price reaction, that's the market getting complacent about a risk that's still actively spreading. Where's your floor if this keeps growing — still $60K, or has price already told you it doesn't care? 👇 NFA.
