1) High level: Given the last hour curve ball of the ColdCard attack, we should try to keep our pivot foot alive. 2) I’m not sure how changing the activation method/mechanics changes things that much, but maybe I’m wrong… Apart from a PoW algo change… the other route I see is to keep winning market share for Knots + DATUM + Ocean/PyBlock + more solo mining/ self custody and then try another defensive soft fork in several months time… and that may be time we don’t have… this is legitimately “they fight you stage” so some sort of decisive action is inevitable afaict
