From July 1st to 10th, forced liquidations exceeded 425.8 billion Korean won, with 142.2 billion won on July 9th alone. By the 13th, over 1.2 million accounts had triggered margin calls, and 320,000 to 460,000 accounts were fully liquidated. Semiconductor leveraged ETFs and high leverage among retail investors were the main causes. The decline was even more severe in the latter part of the month, but the starting point was indeed in the first ten days.
