🔥 It’s weird watching devs ship apps they've never opened themselves and just hope users show up in 2026 Consumer crypto app competition is getting much more serious now. Everyone is fighting to become the default front end where users hold money, discover trades, copy other people, bet on events, trade perps, earn yield... There are around 111M monthly active wallets on average this year. But I wouldn’t read too much into wallet counts alone. One person can run five wallets, bots inflate activity, and a lot of platforms still quote cumulative registrations. The strongest consumer PMF is still where people touch money. That's where the revenue and repeated behavior come from. Here's how i see the board rn. Tier S @HyperliquidX: $11.5B OI, ~$1B daily volume, $1.17B lifetime revenue, and half of new volume is already flowing through stocks, commodities, and other TradFi markets. @Phantom: self-custody super app stacking Cash accounts, debit cards, Hyperliquid perps, prediction markets, and trading into one interface, now serving ~20M users. @Polymarket: biggest onchain prediction market with $10.8B monthly volume, ~700K MAU, and a $1B annualized revenue run rate. Tier A @fomo: proving a TikTok-like trading feed where people discover and copy trades, with 625K+ users, 100K daily actives, and $4B+ cumulative volume. @Pumpfun: default mobile interface for the trenches. one-click launch, fiat onboarding, social identity, high-freq trading. @AskVenice: onboarded 3.5M users through a privacy-first AI product, processing ~1.3T tokens monthly with a $70M+ annualized run rate. The real game is owning the moment before the user decides where the money goes imo. @RedotPay: 8M+ users, accepted at 130M+ merchants, processing ~$12B annualized payment volume while leading the category in card spend. Tier B @Collector_Crypt: Solana RWA gacha app that did $411M June volume and $15.7M net revenue, with growth increasingly coming from Jupiter, Solflare, and Rarible integrations. @MetaMask: evolving into an onchain finance layer with Agent Wallet, perps, gasless UX, and multi-chain support. @BinanceWallet: keyless onboarding, alpha points, agentic trading, pred markets, reward campaigns create a flywheel for keeping binance users inside Web3 @PlayKintara: one of the few crypto games showing actual early usage, hitting 30K MAU and $1M+ in player earnings from 328K marketplace sales. Tier C @baseapp: 10M+ downloads but 56K–64K WAU recently. Admitted the social/creator bet failed. now resetting around trading, stablecoins, and agents @farcaster_xyz: pivoted from consumer social to builder infra under Neynar. Social is dead, betting on mini-apps, Clanker, and builder monetization @zora: peaked at 118K+ coins created in a day, 32K daily creators, and $63M volume. But once the speculation cooled, the social loop disappeared with it. Everyone is adding the same features now, so features themselves won’t be the moat for long.
