Top 3 $HYPE unstaked by venture capital in July 2026: 1. Paradigm: 2.92M $HYPE (~$171M) The largest HYPE holder of them all, sitting on roughly 19M tokens. This isn’t their first move either, they unstaked 2.14M back in April. 2. Multicoin Capital: 1.96M $HYPE (~$120M) Tushar Jain said they “did not unstake to sell.” But on-chain data showed 395K HYPE moving into Coinbase Prime shortly after. 3. Selini Capital: 504K $HYPE (~$31M) This one has a clear reason at least: Dreamcash sunset from HIP-3. Add it up and that’s roughly 5.38M $HYPE, around $322M, leaving staking in a matter of days. My honest take. I’m becoming more convinced the market panics on this. It doesn’t even matter whether they actually sell. Retail sees three major VCs pulling nine figures out of staking at the same time and assumes the smart money is exiting. That psychology alone drives the selling. So short term, I’m fairly bearish on $HYPE. We might see the $30 to $40 range before this resets. But long term? I’m always bullish on $HYPE. Hyperliquid still does the majority of onchain perp volume, HIP-4 is coming, and the fundamentals haven’t changed because a few funds rotated capital. Nothing about the product got worse this week. It’s just a matter of time. Short term pain, long term conviction. That’s where I stand.
