the reason large trades happen off-chain isn't secrecy for its own sake, it's that broadcasting size and direction on a public ledger is the same as announcing your position to everyone trading against you. confidential settlement on a permissionless chain solves the actual institutional objection, not a hypothetical one. this is what it looks like when privacy stops being a retail talking point and starts being infrastructure serious capital actually needs
