🚨💰 JUMP CRYPTO JUST REOPENED THE HYPERLIQUID PLAYBOOK @hyperdashtrades flagged that @jump_ withdrew about $19.5M USDC from @binance and deposited it into Hyperliquid after roughly 3 months of inactivity. The funds moved to a second wallet that opened the venue’s largest SKHY long: about 182K SKHY, roughly $30.8M notional. Jump is one of the largest market makers in crypto. Market makers mainly provide liquidity and run hedges. A common pattern is delta-neutral work = long one venue/product + short another so price moves partly cancel, while fees or funding become the edge. What SKHY Actually Is SKHY on Hyperliquid is a stock-linked perpetual, a derivative that tracks SK Hynix price action around its US ADR listing (ADR = US-listed receipt for foreign shares). SK Hynix priced a record foreign US raise near $26.5B, with ADRs near the $149 offer and first-day prints around the high $160s. This is not Hyperliquid’s native token. It is equity exposure priced in crypto rails. 🏦📈 Why The Funding Line Went Viral Funding rate = the periodic payment between longs and shorts that keeps the perp close to the real price. When funding is deeply negative, longs get paid by shorts. @hyperdashtrades cited funding near -97% annualized on that print, with a snapshot run-rate above $47M per year if that rate never moved. That second number is the trap. Funding resets often. Extreme rates compress when arbitrage capital piles in. Same lesson as the earlier HYPE audit: a flashy annualized line is not locked profit. ⚠️💸 The position was already down about $491K on a relatively small price move. That alone argues against a pure “Jump is long SKHY forever” story. The Open Question Does this keep Hyperliquid as the default board for equity-linked perps when TradFi names go public, or does funding normalize so fast that only MMs with hedges keep size? Watch next: 1) SKHY open interest and whether Jump’s wallet holds, adds, or reduces 2) SKHY funding mean-reversion (does -97% style heat fade in days?) 3) Hyperliquid fee + Assistance Fund buyback pace while equity-perp volume stays elevated

BREAKING: Jump Crypto (@jump_) withdrew 19.5M USDC from Binance and deposited the funds into Hyperliquid. After three months of inactivity, the firm appears to be making its first major move ahead of the SKHY IPO. The funds were then transferred to a second wallet which opened the current largest SKHY position. They holding a 182K SKHY ($30.8M) long With the funding rate currently at -97% , the position would earn more than $47M per year in funding payments
