This illustrates why I use long-dated puts instead of trying to time exact events. That whale either: - Had inside info (illegal) - Got insanely lucky (not repeatable) My approach: Buy volatility cheap (VIX ~16%), wait for ANY shock to spike it. Don't need perfect timing. Just need fear eventually. Much higher probability game.
