Interesting that Binance publicly supports Bybit after the $1B hack but actively sought to wreck Hyperliquid via Jelly listing

@mrjasonchoi Not surprising at all. Big players have equity in all the major CEXs
@mrjasonchoi yeah , it seems that Hyperliquid is a bigger threat to Binance than Bybit
@mrjasonchoi this is how you build anti-fragile systems ... as long as they don't break
@mrjasonchoi Well.. 1 helps CEX's maintain a good image and the other is actively trying to take away market share away from CEX's. Sure Bybit is competition but after FTX it would be a bad look if another tier 1 exchange went down and would probably further diminish the trust in CEX's
@mrjasonchoi These CEX are not only manipulating Jelly Jelly but the entire crypto market. They are the ones suppressing the prices
@mrjasonchoi They're scared of Hyperliquid just because it's best onchain product that's going to be grow massively in coming days. Fuck CEX cartel. Long Hyperliquid
@mrjasonchoi do you see cex or dex having more market share in the long run?
@mrjasonchoi Binance got its priorities straight: protect profits over reputation 💸👊
I think the key difference for them is if bybit implodes we get another ftx like scenario where a bunch of normies are affected and that paints a bad picutre for the crypto as a whole. Meanwhile if hype goes to shit nobody rly cares its just “another”crypto project that went to 0
@mrjasonchoi @0xelonmoney Interesting that your mom likes gushing her jelly over bybit because she shorted that shitcoin in the trenches.
@mrjasonchoi Decentralization is a spectrum. Traders aren't purists, they're profit seeking.
@mrjasonchoi Intent was 100% malicious Look at the most recent HeYi Binance reply and CZ’s retweet of ZachXBT’s post
@mrjasonchoi The times of CEX publicly claiming that they support DeFi is over. Dex is now eating into their business model and has become a threat. Interesting times ahead.
Rather than interesting, it is total shortsightedness. We finally have a shot in building something people can trust and push forward the crypto ethos with the right incentives and all they can think about is their market share shrinking. Sometimes it would be helpful to have a reminder that the world of crypto isn't zero-sum game.
@mrjasonchoi I might not really see it this way though. But indirectly looks like they ruining Hyper Liquid team. But super sure they'd come to term or find a way around it. "The casino always win"
@mrjasonchoi It was a ritual, market bound hex cast under the New Moon of Manipulation. x.com/CatCabal_hl/status/19049…
@mrjasonchoi theres a difference between a hack, and poorly designed liquidity provider. hyperliquid deserved to fail, instead- they put it on their users.
@mrjasonchoi @cz_binance you belong back in JAIL and your time will come (again)

@mrjasonchoi 1. agree 2. from what im seeing, people are forced to come to terms w/ it despite them trying to lie to themselves before 3. perps is faster to list than spot i believe
@0xMinhdonz 3. Also assuming they don’t have sufficient inventory
@mrjasonchoi It's a solid product that is easily accessible via a web3 wallet Other teams should take note of this 'lack-of-friction' approach. Some might even call it PMF.
@mrjasonchoi @0xMinhdonz 3. they don't require sufficient inventory if their intention was to just rekt Hyperliquid. they can just announce intention to list and set a listing time that is pretty far away
@mrjasonchoi take a look at CZ's TL and tell me that they listed based on volume lol
@mrjasonchoi just based off historical listings, im pre sure their listing process takes more than just a couple hours. no one can convince me they've been looking at jellyjelly all this while as a listing candidate given that all volume was essentially from today
@mrjasonchoi 3. you’re wrong this is from the cofounder of binance x.com/heyibinance/status/19049…
@mrjasonchoi I think the chance of them listing it "based on volume" is zero, it was a stab at HL, considering CZ retweeted a zach FUD post. Both binance and okx looking real desperate now
@mrjasonchoi 2. Would you say HL is incompetent / wasting their resources because they clearly seem to care about something that you think doesnt matter? x.com/uncrncap/status/19049340…
@mrjasonchoi Would only differ on point 3. Binance didn't have seeded inventory to list spot and perps would have been faster anyway.
@uncrncap This question is loaded in 5 different ways I don’t even know how to begin to answer
