Rupee got Strength from RBI decision but that decision will kill bank nifty today, due to which nifty will also fall hard too ! Because nifty50 still have large share of banks too.

Why? Isnt the ongoing narrative that fii exiting due to weak rupee?
  4. u/No-Comment-8160 1 7 hours ago
There are multiple reason, No AI Development. No Semiconductor related company. Better Bond Yield. Etc etc !!

What are the downsides of that decision? Burns forex quick?
  6. u/nifty_investor1 OP 1 7 hours ago

RBI decision is not related to forex reserve OP. They are stepping inn aggressively to stop the fall. Squeezing liquidity Stopping Oil company to buy dollar in open market. ( It will now route through RBI )

https://m.economictimes.com/industry/bank… Talking about this decision ! It someway killed liquidity in the market. Basically, Rbi trying to squeeze excess liquity from FCNR. When RBI did last time, bank nifty fall hard for straight two months !

But we need to return that money (with interest*) What ways can we *make money* in such case? And if govt fails to make that money, what next?
  10. u/No-Comment-8160 1 7 hours ago
We have to return the money but not now, years later.

The main reason is that the RBI allowed govt owned oil companies like BPCL to obtain dollars directly from the RBI for crude oil imports, instead of buying them from the open market every day. Crude oil imports are one of the biggest sources of dollar demand in India, putting significant pressure on the rupee.
