Do they reply to app review messages?

Hey guys, so after around 10-11 days, they finally reviewed it. Sadly, it got rejected again. This is basically the core of the problem, something tiny. They said to reply to them with a screen recording and adding some stuff to notes. I did. That was 3 days ago. When I updated notes, rather than just save I clicked update review and now I can’t change to the new build. I did reply and showed the recording, updated notes and did everything asked of me, but I didn’t re-submit for review as I read online that I should wait for their reply first, and if I re-submit I won’t be getting an answer. So I guess me question is, do I wait for a response in the message thread, or do I just re-submit? Does anyone have some experience to share? Thanks!
