I did the math on making $10,000 a month with digital products. The visitor number scared me.

Everyone says you can make $10,000 a month selling digital products. Almost nobody shows the math, so here it is. All numbers are rounded, and the 2% conversion rate is an assumption, so swap in your own. **The formula** Visitors needed per day = (monthly goal ÷ price) ÷ 30 ÷ conversion rate **Example with a $27 product** $10,000 ÷ $27 = 371 sales a month 371 ÷ 30 = about 12 sales a day 12 ÷ 2% = about 618 visitors every single day Most people never look at that number. They spend 3 months making the product and 0 minutes on traffic. **Lever 1: Price** Same goal, same 2% conversion: $10 product: 1,667 visitors a day $27 product: 618 visitors a day $47 product: 355 visitors a day $97 product: 173 visitors a day Going from $27 to $47 cuts the visitors you need by about 43%. A higher price can lower your conversion, so test it before you assume it works. **Lever 2: Conversion rate** Same $27 product: 1%: 1,237 visitors a day 2%: 618 visitors a day 3%: 412 visitors a day 4%: 309 visitors a day Going from 2% to 3% saves about 200 visitors a day. You get there with a better cover image, a clearer title and a "what is included" image, not with more traffic. **Lever 3: Order value** Add a small extra at checkout. Say a $12 add on, and 1 in 4 buyers takes it. Your average order becomes $30, so you need 333 sales instead of 371. **All three together** Price $47, conversion 3%, and 1 in 4 buyers takes a $12 add on: Average order = $50 $10,000 ÷ $50 = 200 sales a month 200 ÷ 30 = about 7 sales a day 7 ÷ 3% = about 222 visitors a day That is 222 visitors a day instead of 618 for the same goal. **What this changed for me** When I saw these numbers I stopped spending my time on making products. The product only needs to be good enough to sell. The hours belong to the three levers above and to traffic. So I stopped designing planners from scratch. I started with a ready made catalog I already had resell rights to: planners, mockups, faceless clips and prompts for the listings. Then I put my time into three things: 1. Bundles, because they raise the order value (Lever 3) 2. Better covers and mockups, because they raise conversion (Lever 2) 3. Posting every day, because 222 visitors a day does not come from one place For reference, prices I see working for niche planners are around $15 to $35, and full bundles around $27 to $97. That fits the math above, because bundles are what move you from 618 visitors a day toward 222. **The part nobody talks about** Even 222 visitors a day does not come from one source. It comes from a lot of small doors: Etsy listings, Pinterest pins, short videos and community comments. I have a rough split of where I would get the first 100 visitors a day with no ads. One of the sources is free, takes about 10 minutes a day, and almost every seller ignores it. If this gets some traction, I will post that as part 2. What price do you sell your main product at? Curious what most people here charge.

that said, 222 targeted daily visitors is still a heavy lift if you are relying purely on organic. people underestimate how hard it is to get eyeballs on a random landing page every single day without burning out, especially since a 2 percent conversion rate on cold traffic can sometimes be overly optimistic.

Not even overly optimistic but if we discard targeted ads, there is almost no other way thst will even net you 1% conversion.

100% .222 is not at all easy number to hit if you don't have audience. I feel email is the best way to be consistent in this case. Any other suggestions ?

The visitor math is sobering when you see it all at once like that. Most people skip the traffic part and wonder why nothing sells

Exactly. That makes or breaks the product

Pricing is such a game changer. One thing that helped me was focusing on optimizing just one sales page until hitting the conversion rate goal before scaling traffic. If you want to find conversations where people talk about planners or digital products, using something like ParseStream can spot them across forums in real time so you can join in before the thread gets cold.
