Apple Developer tax form blocked, SSN already tied to old/unused developer account. How long did resolution take for you?

I'm trying to submit a US W-9 tax form on a newer Apple Developer account, but it's rejected with "The Tax ID entered already exists" because my SSN is still associated with an old developer account I no longer use. It's been about a month since I opened cases with both Apple Developer Support and Apple Finance Support([email protected]) about this, and I'm still waiting on a resolution. Developer Support is trying to escalate it to the Finance/Payments team to get the SSN released from the old account so I can submit the form on my current one. For anyone who's run into this before: * How long did it take Apple to actually resolve it? * Any tips for getting it escalated faster, or is it just a waiting game?
