LETF or futures in an economic depression

Assuming that you have liquid cash, and you're are near the bottom of an depression (the hard part ofc, but assuming you've timed the bottom within a couple of months). Is it better to buy future contact of s&p 500 a year out or buy leveraged etf like tqqq?

Rethink your strategy because you’re unlikely to succeed trying to time the market like this

Futures can give you massive leverage so if you know what will happen next ... but options can go even faster.

It depends on the LETF. Most LETFs reset daily. So - in general the carry costs of a futures contract is going to be more efficient. I tend to also prefer futures contracts since they are section 1256 contracts. And how a broker reports gains from a LETF can vary.
