Everyone here posts their MRR. Mine is $0, on purpose

Most posts here are revenue screenshots, so here's the other end of the spectrum. I lift, and I got tired of fitness apps. You open one to log three sets, and you get a paywall for basic charts, an ad between exercises, a streak you'll "lose" if you rest on a Sunday, a badge for your 10th workout, and a level-up animation. All of that turns training into a mobile game. Rest days are part of the program, not a broken streak. So I built Reserve, an iOS strength tracker, and the most important design doc was the list of things it will never have: * No account, no cloud sync. Data lives on the device, with CSV export and a full backup file if you want out * No ads, no subscription, no core feature behind a paywall * No badges, streaks, XP, levels or confetti * No social feed, no AI chat, no calorie tracking What's left is just the training: weight, reps and RIR (reps in reserve) for each set. The app uses that RIR to suggest your weight or reps for the next session. Rest timer, set notes, warm-up sets, PRs, progress charts, and import from Strong/Hevy so people don't lose years of history. Cutting things turned out to be harder than building them. Every "engagement" feature would have been easy to add, and I kept having to remind myself that the person using this is mid-set, sweaty, and wants to tap twice and put the phone down. Stack, if anyone's curious: Expo SDK 57, Expo Router, Zustand, synchronous SQLite. No backend at all, so my server bill is also $0. https://apps.apple.com/app/id6801944882 Curious how others here think about this. Have you ever removed an engagement feature because it made the product worse, even if it would've helped retention?
