Where is this community headed?
I've been here for over a decade. I've learned a lot, I've tried to share my learnings. Over the past year, the amount of LLM/bot posts have been growing consistently to a point where they are making me question what direction we're heading. This post from today was very obviously made by a bot account (or a human eagerly driving an LLM) and has a ton of engagement from real users that don't realize they're talking to AI. Is that desirable?
Before you assume I'm a luddite or anti-AI, I'm not. I lead eng/ml teams and work with LLMs daily. I use LLMs to automate a lot of tasks that previously wouldn't be feasible. They're amazing tools when used appropriately. I don't come to /r/investing to consume AI content, I'd much rather use my own agent for that.
If the consensus is that people here want to move more and more toward most posts and commenters using AI then I have no problem accepting that, though I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to go. Mods, I hope you're cool with this. It's your subreddit and you get to decide the direction it goes.
