finally got my first paying customer for the side project I've been tinkering with for months. wasn't much, just a small consulting package, but seeing that notification pop up hit different in the best way. still feels surreal that someone out there found enough value to pull out their card. my friends don't really get it, they think I'm just glued to my laptop for no reason so I'm celebrating here with you all instead what about you, what's your win this week

Small wins are everything especially if you build momentum. Good luck.

tbh i think most people just never actually sit with that question. like we say we value certain things but then the calendar and bank account tell a completely different story. the two versions rarely match up and most people never notice

A client showed up in my inbox with a recurring problem expressed by previous client requests, which I had not yet capitalised on. I suggested a fee for my time, created the booking link with video embedded and landed a client who paid and left happy!

Created my first TikTok and it got just under 1000 views with only 8 followers. It was a metaphor about the butterfly transformation and business ownership. 🦋

'A win is a win' until the first sale turns out to be your cousin. I'd want to see the invoice before applauding.

Got 3 active sellers on my store builder and 1 seller is killing it. Sales every day. I make a tiny commission but it gives me confidence now.

Finally closed our first proper paying customer this week after months of pitching and weird pricing experiments. Non-founder friends ko bataya toh they were like 'bas itna hi?' lmao. Unhe lagta hai startup start karte hi funding aur crazy revenue aa jata hai, but tbh for a 2-person bootstrapped team, ye ek conversion bhi feels like a huge relief.

the non-founder reaction is so real lol. people see "one customer" and think that's nothing, but they don't see the months of pricing changes, rejections, and second-guessing behind it. first conversion is proof the thing actually works, that's huge.

Made my first dollar this week, well a 2400 sale on our SaaS. Feels good, need that intermittent motivation to keep me going.

My win this week is personal. After a month of brutal coughing and a month of migraines, a specialist told me Monday that the cough had torn an artery in my neck. That can cause a stroke, and I didn't have one. I'm lucky to be alive, and lucky not to be a vegetable. My parents are in Tainan, Taiwan and I'm in Boulder. I speak some Mandarin and Taiwanese but not words like "neurologist," "artery," or "stroke." So I called my mom using the phone translation tool I've been building, and for the first time I could tell her the whole thing. Right after, I called back in my broken Taiwanese, said "brain doctor" and "blood tube," joked I was lucky not to be a tomato, and they got all of it. On Tuesday my wife, who only speaks English, had a real conversation with my mom too. That's when it stopped being a project for me. Anyone else have a parent you can't fully talk to about the hard stuff?

I got 250 visitors on my blog. Its nothing, I know, but I still remembering getting 10 clicks per month. And because I have a full time job and am a mum to a 14 month old, it feels like a huge win.

A first sale only counts as a win if it didnt cost you more to deliver than you charged for it.

Launched my site this week and got a couple of visitors so that's something. I have no idea how people market or get that proverbial first 10 users organically though.

Small wins add up, and celebrating them keeps you motivated. What matters most is staying consistent and making progress, even when the steps feel small.

It's great to have a space where small wins matter too. Consistency and learning from each step are what turn little victories into long-term success.
