How do I grow my app’s Instagram page from fewer than 10 followers?

I’ve recently launched an app and am trying to build its Instagram presence from scratch. Currently, I have fewer than 10 followers, and I’m wondering what the best way to get started is. Should I run ads to gain followers and make the page look more established and trustworthy, or focus entirely on organic content until I build some traction? I get around 300 views per real and some cross 1000. My biggest concern is that if I pay for followers through ads, the reach and engagement might drop again as soon as I stop spending. For those who’ve grown an app’s Instagram account from zero, what worked for you?

I'd hold off on paying just to make the follower count look reassuring. With 300 to 1,000 views already, I'd pin a short demo of one problem the app solves and track whether profile visits turn into app-link clicks before spending. Are people not visiting the profile, or visiting and leaving?

I worked on a book reading community app and helped grow its Instagram account organically to 15K followers. My 2 cent advice don’t buy followers or chase inorganic growth as those followers aren’t going to help you much instead, focus on your app’s ICP and create engaging content specifically for that audience post consistently and test at least 50 videos with different hooks, content angles, and formats around your ICP before assuming organic growth isn’t working.

The thing is I have barely any followers now So wont real people be turned off by seeing that its a brand new account which nobody else follows

post 2-3x a day and do content reactions . run ads only if you have the revenue AND grow organically
