Looks like im going to lose money on that spread cuz the spx settlement price is much higher than the 4pm price 🤡 Lesson learned i guess, not even cash settled is done logically in these markets.

Turns out the low grade google search ai was lying about the settlement price and I actually did come out with a small gain and no losses. Just got the actual notification from robinhood now.

The settlement price only matters for AM options. PM options settle to 4pm price.

No, even if I lost money it would have been fine, this is similar to an issue ive posted about before with regular stock options. Maybe, the spread widens and moves so much at the end that its hard to lock in. Closing earlier would definitely have made more - although only slightly like \~$20. I was expecting a larger dump into the weekend which didnt really happen.

Good work, looks like you are giving back a lot to community. But yes, sometimes I do think set it and forget it after all may be very well worth it, looking at the costs, it would have paid off for a nice vacation.

I make adjustments via delta when I need to. I try and stick to my rules. But rarely, rarely, set and forget when I trade.

I noticed I was down to 16% this morning. The stats do that when I do not find positions to trade in a tougher shorting market while still taking profit on other matters. So I took a deep breath, realized it was Saturday, and decided I didn’t care enough to fret about it other than to show up on time before Open on Monday. Problem solved!!
