Aren't the Russians running out of refineries already?
  4. u/Vinral 1 2 days ago
    They can still lose more.
  5. u/MrNo_Balls 1 2 days ago
oh the classic "you can turn it around you still got 200 bucks in your account after a 20k loss"?
  6. u/Separate-Pickle9963 1 2 days ago
Ukraine has to keep hitting the same refineries over and over. Each drone hit does a small-ish amount of damage, so that can be repaired and the refineries are back up in a few weeks. What Ukraine is doing is compounding the damage each time, as extra repairs gives the refinery more places for mistakes or cutting corners per repair, on top of keeping fiel supply permanently inconsistent and damaging Russian internal fuel logistics and pricing.
  7. u/MrNo_Balls 1 2 days ago
So Houthis are better at hitting essential infrastructure? Ah my bad, Ukraine and Russia are still doing attrition, meanwhile Houthis are trying blitzkrieg?
  8. u/Separate-Pickle9963 1 2 days ago
Iran primarily uses drones as well, but to *send a message* they can and do use ballistic missiles, and THOSE do lasting damage. They give their materials to the Houthis and other allied groups.

  10. u/SpiritOne 1 2 days ago
You do understand that Russia can’t produce enough diesel for themselves, and this is like 2 weeks of diesel fuel combined for U.S. consumption. Just like every other word out of his mouth, it means nothing, and it won’t help prices.

  24. u/old_and_creaking 1 2 days ago
Americans are suffering. Propping up the Trump regime with short term gimmicks, such as lowering diesel prices by a few pennies for a few weeks, to enable Trump to better weather the midterms helps only Trump and will prolong his disastrous presidency.
  25. u/Vinral 1 2 days ago
We'd be suffering a lot less without Trump and his tarrifs and war with Iran destabilizing global trade and oil, destroying aid and food programs. Sooooo to your argument your fine with Americans suffering as long as Trump is causing the suffering.

Imagine being so addled by Russian propaganda that you can't figure out the moral difference between the side defending against unlawful and unjustified aggression and the side invading, Murdering, raping and looting
  41. u/lihoslavl 1 2 days ago
Raping, looting, are you sure you aren't referring to Ukraine? Visit Crimea, talk to locals, ask what they think of the life under Ukrainian's rule. You can also talk to local Donetsk or Lugansk citizens about "exploding air conditioning", Mariupol locals about "Azov" prohibiting evacuation of locals basically making them hostages, Ukrainian army shooting locals in their backs trying to cross the front into Russian-controlled territories. You'll suddenly realize you accusing the wrong side. Ukrainian army has no discipline, it holds on narcotics, alcohol and blocking detachments of Azov and other battalions preventing them of running away.
  42. u/beardedsandflea 1 2 days ago
Yeah, wars have a lot of nuance and shit gets messy, most people with any critical thought recognize that; but it almost seems like you're either forgetting who invaded whom, or you're intentionally trying to muddy the waters. Let's not lose sight of how this whole thing started.
  43. u/lihoslavl 1 2 days ago
Yeah, everything started with US backing coup in Ukraine and new Ukrainian administration language laws that lead to counter-revolution in South-East which lead to civil war and eventual Russian intervention.

What a load of bullshit. I have friends from Ukraine and know people who’ve died fighting the war. How fucking dare you spread Russian propaganda. None of what you’ve said is true in the slightest. Russia is the aggressor. Russia is the invader. Ukraine are defending their sovereign homeland. America owes them protection because they forced them to give up weapons in a peace deal Russia signed too. All for Russia to break the deal.. repeatedly.
  49. u/lihoslavl 2 2 days ago
America started all that and you and your friends cannot comprehend this simple truth. Your Ukrainian friends are used right now to play a role of a ram against Russia. Since they don't know even their recent history, they are playing it quite well.
  50. u/WonderfulMaybe3473 1 2 days ago
Bullshit! America did not start shit! Are you all there mate. None of what you say is even logical.. 🤣 It has no basis in fact. Russia amassed troops in Belarus to mount the long awaited invasion. It’s well known in Ukraine that putins wet dream is the soviet block back together. They train school kids how to act if the invasion starts. They’ve always done this. Hell … Putin has written extensively on the subject. So, you may want to believe this because you’re not right in the head and have some fan boy shit going over Putin but, it’s not true sweetheart and anyone with half a braincell and some knowledge on the subject knows you’re talking utter shite. Edit to add - if America had intention of fighting in any capacity on Ukrainian soil, they wouldn’t have all of a sudden stopped at the point of the Russian invasion. The story you’re peddling might work on the stupid but it doesn’t hold any weight with anyone who knows better and can string logical fact into a coherent thought.
  51. u/lihoslavl 1 2 days ago
All right, for starters, lets check chronology. December 2013-January 2014: Maydan backed by the US overthrows legally elected president 2014: first law Rada signs is against Russian language A bus with Berkut is attacked by Maydan activists In Response to Maydan South-East of country starts their own demonstrations in order to support legit president and to oppose language persecution Crimean citizens don't want to be the citizens of second sort and start organizing into militia "Friendship train" to Crimea is opposed by local protesters, loyal to Maydan Nazi law-inforcers try to put Crimea under their control Ukraine threatens to kick out Russian fleet from Sevastopol Crimean militia with support of Russian fleet in a couple days take control over all peninsula, population of Crimea celebrates it as liberation Crimea on Referendum votes for Independence from Ukraine and secedes from them. Ukraine did not care about Crimean citizens at all since 1991, all infrastructure was made by Soviet times. In response for Crimean events, the situation in Donbass (Lugansk and Donetsk regions) started to boil, people wanted either getting rid of oppressive language laws, or getting autonomy / independence. 2 may 2014, Ukrainian counter-protesters burn alive Russian supporters in the House of Labour Unions in Odessa. Killers are still unknown to these days. ATO starts: Ukraine bombs peaceful cities and shoots with lethal weapons at peaceful protesters Strelkov with a tiny group (around 100 people or so) of supporters enters Ukraine and take control over Slovyansk The war breaks loose, Ukraine starts pressuring Slovyansk, Strelkov with a 1000 supporters is forced to retreat to Donetsk. Militias enter military bases and conscript even old T-34 tanks served as monuments by that point. Ukraine tries to encircle Donbass and fails, starts to run away Putin and Lukashenko in order to stop the war call for Minsk agreements Cease fire achieved for a time then the war restarts again 2014: Referendums in Donbass to secede from Ukraine 2015 Minsk 2: if implemented, Ukraine becomes a federation and returns all controlled by local militia lands, except Crimea under autonomy and receives control over former Russian-Ukrainian border. Ukraine agrees to all terms Ukraine only really implements ceasefire, refusing to fulfill other points of agreements, especially those about their administrative reforms. By that point (in 2015), the war could be over if Ukraine willed to stop it, unfortunately their army wasn't under central government control and local oligarchs ruled them and they were controlled by the West who wanted the war to continue in a few years, when Ukraine is ready to weaken Russia. 2015-2019 overall quiet on the front, though it is not complete ceasefire: people still die on both sides 2015-2021 Ukraine receives huge military aid from NATO allowing to build massive defensive structures in Donbass and resupply their army 2019 Poroshenko loses elections, Zelensky comes into power 2019 Zelensky fails to control his own army to back off 2019 Zelensky laughs in prime time over Putin's words about implementing Minsk 2 agreements: Zelensky knows it was just a sham 2021 Ukraine launch huge military preparations to enter Donbass. Russia mirrows them, Western media screams that Russia about to attack Ukraine, Ukraine backs off 2022, February Ukraine does it again, starts artillery strikes on Donetsk, mobilizes troops preparing to enter Donbass ignoring previous agreements 2022, 22 February: Ukraine receives the last warning from Russia: Russia finally acknowledges referendums from 2014 and acknowledges Donbass independence. Donbass sends official request for military aid due to Ukrainian agression 2022 24 February: a full scale war starts.

I actually know people who have lived this. To some degree your timeline has minor validities however, while there may be some on the Ukraine that border Russia there are many more who don’t. People were marched to vote and told who to vote for or face violence, persecution, rape and torture as well as starvation. There is a multitude of evidence to these facts. There is video footage of a family living in Donbas throughout the invasion. This was not all sunshine and roses and Russia is the great saviour. It was horrific. As for the rest of Ukraine. You cannot seriously be of the belief that Ukraine and America are forcing Putin to invade Kiev? To have lost so many Russian lives on the sovereign land of Ukraine what for? Shits and giggles? Have you considered that it might not be all that complicated in this regard?? That the invasion is to reform the soviet block as a last legacy of a president Putin who may not live that much longer. It’s an ego trip and costing far too many lives on both sides. You are woefully misinformed on the subject… you see things only through the eyes of a brainwashed, egotistical Russian bot. I stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦 for all its faults it has a right to exist. It is a land filled with wonderful humans who actually served as a bridge between the stranger ways of Russians and Europe. They’re a beautiful mix of Slavic and European. They are not however Russian. They’re just not. Maybe some of the older people and the younger ones who haven’t got outside influence but most are more European in their ways in a way Russians just aren’t. It’s madness to me that you cannot seriously see Russian boots on the ground in another man’s land and call it their fault. This is akin to someone breaking into your home, killing your family and people having the audacity to say it was your fault because the invaders should have a right to it. As for the American causing it bs.. it just doesn’t make any logical sense for them to have been mounting any sort of invasion to then leave when the Russian invasion began.. it’s the age old war tactic of pretending that there’s a risk to excuse the incoming war. You’re just being played by the people you idolise. As for Donbas and - Putin claimed - illegally that it was Russia - this was not an agreement. The fighting had been ongoing for 8 years or more - never ceasing in the run up To the Russian invasion edit 2 - America and eu could have wiped out Russia by now if they wanted to but have chosen to stay out of it in a large part. For what reason I don’t know - if the decision was mine I would have put Russia back in their box at the start.
  53. u/lihoslavl 1 1 day ago
Dude, all the West is still dreaming about is so-called "decolonization" of Russia. To achieve that Russia should be weakened, this is what they do, this is what they always did: if you cannot destroy your opponent by the brute force, weaken them by inner struggles / proxy conflicts. Or don't you remember all the shit that US and NATO did in the past using human rights as casus belli? The incentive for the US is to get rid of all big countries in the World and to take full control of them: first Russia, then China, after that India if they dare to become #2. Every country that becomes #2 is a threat to the US. They did it to Argentina, the UK, the USSR, Japan before, they do it for China and Russia right now. Dude, imagine that Canada launches an alliance with China and starts persecuting English language as inferior and foreign to their culture and start a civil war. How many time will it take for the US to invade? All it took to bring nukes to Cuba (while Yankees already had nukes in Turkey) for Murrica to start threaten nuclear war to the USSR. Zelensky threatened of making nukes. So basically you either a hypocrite or just blind to the facts. \>There is a multitude of evidence to these facts. Are you aware that Ukrainians hold prisoners in illegal jails in Donbass and commited all these things you mentioned? Google Tornado company, for example, they were too brutal even by Ukrainian standards. Azov committed multiple war crimes too, including everything you mentioned plus using people as a human shield and being a literal Nazis. Europe and America wanted ceasefire because they wanted to damage and weaken Russian army, economy and overall internal integrity as far as they can. They did it to the USSR during the cold war by using the same methods: proxy wars, armament race. Now they use it to split Russia in even smaller parts: take away Siberia, Caucasus, etc. If you don't believe me just google: Russia decolonization. Russian leadership wanted only a couple of things from Ukraine: remain either allied to Russia or at least neutral (thus prohibiting Ukraine to enter anti-Russian alliance NATO (don't bullshit me how it is just a defensive alliance)), don't touch the Black Sea fleet and not destroying Russian language and culture and Russian-speakers themselves in Ukraine. They did it all and also worshiped literal Nazi collaborators and SS generals. Russia is still allergic to these things, you know, unlike Ukraine we have some historical memories of that events and the cost we paid for you, the West, to remain free.
  54. u/WonderfulMaybe3473 1 1 day ago
Again.. no one gives a shit about decolonisation of Russia. If Russian could just wind their necks in and be civil human beings then all would be well.. Stop invading Ukraine and threatening the west with nuclear weapons, spying and poising people over here.. you’re all good. No one cares if Russia falls into the ocean or join the eu.. zero, zilch. Ukrainians are a beautiful people.. I love my Ukrainian friends dearly.. they’re funny kind, gentle, unassuming and not arrogant fks like the Russians I’ve met. So full of a victim complex they’re like a rabid dog. No one is interested dude. Just be great if Russia could get all their men back on Russian soil .. thanks 🙏🏻
  55. u/lihoslavl 1 1 day ago
I wish this all was the truth, my friend. The reality though is that the West need an external enemy to support NATO infrastructure, to sell weapons and to control the World's resources. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_wars\_involving\_the\_United\_States\_in\_the\_20th\_century https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_wars\_involving\_the\_United\_States\_in\_the\_21st\_century The US constantly feeds their war machine and gains oil and other resources for free while pretending to be freedom fighter. All Russian elites wanted is to build expensive Olympiads, build palaces and hailed in Europe and Americas as their equals. Internally this war is quite dangerous for Kremlin as too much power is handed to the military and they could overthrow the government if Kremlin is not careful enough, it almost happened when Prigozhin marched on Moscow. Noone here in Moscow is defending Putin against our own army, it is not Yeltsin's times anymore. Moscovites will most likely defend the government from external threat though because if you talk to average Ukrainian, they don't make a difference between the government's decisions and common folk, they hate both equally because they are told so. The same goes for potential NATO soldier, they see us as a horde of barbarians getting ready to invade their migrants-infested resourse poor countries for some reason. I wish no one would care that Russia does, unfortunately, Russia is getting surrounded by NATO military bases potentially with nukes in each of them and former relatives and friends become enemies due to NATO and the US propaganda. It is hard to complain about getting bit by a cornered rat, and Russia is not a rat, but a bear. If you poke bear too much it might stop sucking its paw and suddenly starts rampaging. Hardly the bear's fault.

You’re getting your knowledge from wiki?? Did you not go to university? The first rule of citing your sources is never trust wiki and never ever cite it. It’s falsified for agenda purposes especially in the wars between Russia and the west. Honestly sweetheart. No one cares. If Russia stays in their lane everyone else will stay in theirs. No one wants a nuclear war breaking out. If the west really wanted that they’d have full on joined Ukraine in the fight. It was the perfect excuse. But they didn’t. They were reluctant to send arms and reluctant to sanction initially hoping it would blow over while knowing it wouldn’t. You’re giving this war way more meaning than it has. This ‘special military operation’ is purely to reunify the block to leave a legacy that Putin had a desperate for. America has in the most part stayed out of the Ukraine issue and even more so since the traitor paedophile in Washington got into power. The Eu don’t want Russia - hell, they’ve rejected Ukraine’s application to join enough times.. If you take a step back and look at it with unbiased eyes, apply some logic you could see.. this is one fat ego trip. Again - don’t trust wiki - it’s not much better than citing a Reddit comment or a Facebook post in terms of credibility.
  57. u/lihoslavl 1 1 day ago
Whoa, you are finally getting my point! It is true, noone in the West wants nuclear winter, it is true. What also is true that they want those resources for free which means they want Russia to be forced in non-nuclear conflict which drains Russia's resources and allows it to split one more time (aka decolonization shite). I publish wiki sources precisely because they are Western-biased and not neutral as they used to be. The US is constantly involved in some kind of wars / military operations and 0 shit given by everyone. In 2000s people in Russian elites dreamed of united trade and military alliance from Lissabon to Vladivostok. Noone in the West wanted it, of course because in reality all these alliances (NATO, EU) are formed to oppose Russia. This is the real reason.
  58. u/WonderfulMaybe3473 1 1 day ago
I hate America as much as any Russian believe me. I’m sure they’re very biased us wise. As for wanting the resources.. there are other places that have better and more resources.. Russia is very good at making an enemy of the world. They’re equally as egotistical as the American exceptionalists . America is always blowing places up in the name of fear when they’re stealing what’s there. They’re more likely to target places that can’t fight back than Russia though. People are seeing them for what they are now. That does not excuse Russia’s invasion. They play the same war games no matter the loss. It’s never in favour of the average person in society. They convince their people that they’re doing it for the right reason and it isn’t.. it never is
  59. u/lihoslavl 1 1 day ago
You are this close to the truth. Unfortunately you underestimate globalists and their plans or you would understand that everything here is linked. Whatever the US can do with their bare hands, they do, in such dangerous and high stakes as here in Russia they (or other globalist-controlled countries) use proxies for them to remain above the fight and look like a moral compass.
  60. u/WonderfulMaybe3473 1 1 day ago
I’d believe it more if there were any semblance of a moral compass being displayed… There isn’t though.. it’s shameless in this day and age. Which in some respects I’m grateful for. There is no shame in Bibi, Trump or Putin. They want power, money, war, control, huge legacy left behind at the expense of their own people, the people of other sovereign lands - world peace.. etc etc.. these are to name but a few.. but at least they do it in the open.. Just be nice if they stopped. War costs money, time, progress and innocent lives. Think how far humanity would have progressed if there were no wars… so so much further than it has, that’s for sure.

yea, cumulatively over several months if all of it came to US. EU and US combined consumes over 1 million tons per day. Global consumption is over 3.5 million tons per day. This announcement is what peak cringe, republicans are losing the mid-term election desperation looks like.
  114. u/OceanCloud2004 1 2 days ago

This. I expect the U.S. to give money - that will be used to supports Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine - and get nothing in return. Followed by Trump blaming Ukraine/Zelensky.
  120. u/ndpugs 1 2 days ago
Also Russia imports most of their diesel so who are we actually buying this from? If I had to guess we are supporting north Korea or China here.
  121. u/BearishBabe42 1 2 days ago
Russia is probably the top 3 oil producer in the world. They probably don’t import much from china. I expect china buys a great deal of russian oil, though.
  122. u/fluffsfluffs 1 2 days ago
It’s not about the oil. It’s about the refined products. As an example, Russia will produce oil which is sold to China, China will in turn refine the oil and sell the product back to Russia.
  123. u/BearishBabe42 1 2 days ago
Russia was the second largest diesel producer. Has the war affected them that much that they have to buy it from china?
  124. u/fluffsfluffs 1 2 days ago
Yes. Their production levels are down 30% or more. Have a google for more clarity but here’s a guardian article which was the first thing I opened but can’t be arsed to have more than a quick read. It’s not about China but it’s about importing diesel. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/oc…?

    Days?
  134. u/Less_Ant_6633 1 2 days ago
OK, so I am not crazy. My first thought was, liquid is \~8lbs per gallon, so right off the top, divide all those numbers by 8. So lets see... long haul trucks can hold up to 300 gallons, so divinding by 8, that 500k tons of fuel is actually around 62500 gallons... which would fill roughly 208 long haul trucks one time? That cant be right... is it?
  135. u/Photmagex 1 2 days ago
How many barrels is 3,000,000 tons?
  136. u/Aarrolyffe 1 2 days ago
Roughly 20 million. The entire amount that is being injected into the states is a 9 day supply. The side note is that its split globally, its part of a larger deal so google says.
  137. u/No-Contest4033 1 2 days ago
Not even that amount. Literally 20 min worth nationally. Won’t do anything but put money in Putin’s pocket.

    It's about Ukraine, not money
  140. u/ValuableDragon 1 2 days ago
It's also contingent on Russian oil tankers not being bombed by Ukraine, which they haven't were. Also, this deal doesn't guarantee that all of that oil will go to the US. It is just the lifting of sanctions to allow more access globally. But if you don't understand context, big number mean good

  159. u/Xrider24 1 2 days ago
They dont have capacity for Russia, let alone anyone else. This is just a gimmick so he can blame Ukraine for taking out russian energy. It amounts to close to 3 weeks of US consumption, btw. Depending on your sources. Possibly as low as 10 days! It is all horseshit.
  160. u/TheLastGoodRiot 1 2 days ago
This one I actually if this was actually true, I would believe that it was a deal settle by the European and that Trump would try to claim as a victory. Putin gains nothing from keeping Trump in the WH, but he could do it for some EU country is that comes with Pro-Russian upside.

Russia is a state run gas station. If they want to choke the Russian war effort, they need to hit refineries. Buying Russian diesel is a shameful act, Trump is hurting our allies, and enabling our enemy fund the invasion of Europe. The upshot is that Europe will need to spend more money to counter Russia while more lives will be lost on both sides, just so Trump can get a political win.

Even if it's true - and if/from where Russia can come up with that much diesel any time soon is an option question - Russia will be happy to sell its oil to the U.S. for U.S. $$$. Meanwhile less than 3 weeks ago Trump signed H.R. 5334, the “Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026,” which authorizes and expands statutory sanctions, tariffs, and prohibitions on Russia and extends existing sanctions on Iran. It's supposed to target purchasers of Russian oil and gas. So yeah, there's that hypocrisy brewing.

There's a saying that you should never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. With the Trump administration it's pretty clearly a combination of both, but it is genuinely hard to separate how much of the incoherent and counterproductive policy is one vs the other.
  207. u/seattleJJFish 1 2 days ago

Trump has demonstrated himself to be both so many times over the past 59 years that it’s hard to keep track, but what he prides himself on is his pettiness and spitefulness. Always has, always will. So whenever you have to ask the question, first ask “who is he trying to hurt?”, then ask “what is he trying to pull in the background?” If you can’t answer those questions, then you know he’s just being stupid. If you can’t answer those answer those questions, ask “how is he going to do it?” Odds are he’s being stupid with the implementation of whatever he’s trying to do, and thankfully that’s usually the case. If this man were competent at being cruel, we’d all be in an absolute world of $#!t.

  214. u/GHouserVO 1 1 day ago
I have long said that he is a symptom of what happens when society permits people to abuse its systems without consequences. He’s been doing it for over 50 years, and aside from a marginal fine (against his companies, rarely against him personally), he’s never had to actually face any. The guy literally got caught perjuring himself on the stand. No consequence. Blatantly abused the legal system to silence critics. No consequence. Committed theft by fraud. No consequences. Openly racist in the halls of Congress (to the point where they had to stop the hearing). No consequences. He’s proven just how weak our system is because the guardrails to deal with someone who blatantly doesn’t want to follow them, and has the resources to use the system as a weapon simply don’t work. And what we’ve all know for a while, that our politicians are weak AF; more interested in staying in their elected positions than in actually doing anything for the people, has been on full display to an unprecedented degree over the past decade or two.
  215. u/Speartree 1 2 days ago
It's malice wrapped in incompetente. Trump is incompetent and his handlers are evil. They use the bumbling fool as a front. Did you think he ever wrote one of those executive orders he signs all the time?

There is no single catch. Whatever move Trump makes now will be bad. He is completely boxed into a corner. He has no cards. The move he has chosen violates the sanctions he has just expanded. He is cowtowing to an enemy and helping them materially. And when I say 'he' I mean the USA.

  236. u/Major-Pin5871 1 2 days ago
Your rig doesn’t dictate the global diesel market. You don’t need a ration because there isn’t a shortage, just high prices. Whether you put Russian diesel or American diesel into your rig you’ll get 3000 miles and due to the tiny quantities hitting the market, you’ll be paying the same.
  237. u/gravyjackz 1 2 days ago
I don’t much understand all of that, but gob bless monseigneur trump for this bountiful weight of diesel

  240. u/Euclidisthebomb 1 2 days ago
The conversion ratio is 1 tonne is approx 7 barrels of oil. The October "delivery" which I am skeptical will even happen amounts to about 2.2 million barrels of diesel oil. But! America alone consumes about 4 million barrels of diesel fuel daily! OMG LMFAO. The impact on world supply is zilch. But it is a step in Trump funneling money to Putin, and perhaps down the road when Ukraine blows up more russian ports and manufacturing facilities he attempting to gaslight the world that Ukraine is to blame for the diesel shortage.
  241. u/douche100 1 2 days ago
Since when did Americans ever use tons to measure oil? That’s why Trump avoided talking in barrels, if Americans saw the actual numbers, they’d realize it’s just a drop in the bucket.

The TOTAL amount that Trump is planning to purchase over the next few months, is less then 5 days worth of fuel for the country. This first delivery of 300,000 tons of fuel is about a 1/2 day of US consumption. That’s 12 HOURS worth of diesel! Do the math on the rest of the promised amount of diesel and you can see, it ain’t enough to make any difference in the price at the pump. It is however, enough to give Putin a nice little injection of cash to fight against Ukraine and our other allies, and get the MAGA dimwits all excited and “rolling coal” in their pants.

The catch is that Russia has been trying to sell their various fuels the entire time to fund the war effort, but Ukraine keeps blowing them up to keep them from funding the war effort. So Trump's "deal" is just what Russia has been trying to do the whole time, but now Trump is even more Big Mad at Ukraine because he thinks he has some sort of deal.
  264. u/depp-fsrv 1 2 days ago
Conspiracy Theory mode activated. What is this is all a ploy and when Ukraine starts blowing up Russias pull refinery's then Trump will declare them an enemy for destroying American assets and join Russia in attacking Ukraine.

Or at least pull back what little support the us is still giving. His real motive though is just to have an excuse for why diesel is high. It’s actually worse for trump of the oil gets delivered cause it won’t make a difference in the price of diesel, but if ukraine blows up the refineries then he can say well gas prices WOULD be lower but those pesky ukrainians…

Why in the world did they not keep backing Ukraine anyway in maintaining an effective war from the sidelines that hampers Russia and bogs them down? Instead they go to war (special military operation) against Iran without any plan and end up in the same situation as Russia in a stupid never ending war that didn’t need to be started in the first place, but that has ruined our economy. Putin needs Ukraine to stop bombing his refineries. Now Trump will pressure Ukraine to bombing refineries, because 'that's our diesel!" For this we're getting a few hours worth of fuel every month. Also, we were exporting diesel until a few days ago. Trump banned diesel exports. Because that would be really awkward if we were exporting far more than we're importing from Russia.
  344. u/dudes_rug 1 2 days ago
3M tons is about 6 days of use in the USA. Rough math.

We’re buying Russian diesel which gets injected back into the Russian economy and feeds its Ukraine war efforts. Europe has cut back on Russian oil purchasing so now the US is going to be that economic bridge gap for Russia. They get the economic boost they need, US gets cheap diesel for midterms.
  363. u/whoreoscopic 1 1 day ago
