bro fym you can start with $100 lol or even less if you take smaller profit work your way up with to the good options with that $100 (which is so much easier said than done)

I thought to do options you needed collateral to cover the cost of 100 shares (for 1 contract)

Not if your buying calls/puts you do if your selling calls/puts

In my limited research I found it to be much safer on the selling side.. as in more consistent payouts. And the ability to roll which when you buy a position you cannot roll. I will stick to my cash secured puts lol 1%/week is plenty for me

For spy yes. For tsll no. For hl no. For ag no. Right now most of my position is calls on ag. As soon as I get assigned out, it's back to puts on whatever has the best risk/return

How much do you generally need to start with to buy 1DTE? $300? I go with 0dte because it's cheaper

You can buy 1DTEs cheaper than $300. It depends on the strike price. I stay away from ODTEs because theta is a bitch!
