Raising interest rates should fix this.

I mean have you seen the price of things? Inflation, AI ruining consumer prices for tech, gas, housing, cars. Everything is unaffordable.

We had a chili neighborhood party. I was asked to pick up Fritos. TWO bags that are smaller than I’ve ever seen a chip bag (not a snack portion) was $12+. I literally said out loud “what a rip off”. It’s crazy. We don’t buy snacks often and I’m even less interested now.

Doesn't matter. 50% of US spending comes from top 10% who are getting richer and richer thanks to their stock holdings. This alone can sustain spending even if the rest of the 90% cut their spending by 1/4th, as long as the wealth effect drives people to spend by an extra 1/4th. That's how the (K-shaped) economy continues defying gravity...for now.

I’m curious on what the consumer sentiment will be in January, maybe February, potentially March. I have a suspicion.
