You give too much credit to your gullible and naive sinkies who think they are very smart with their own money 🤷‍♀️

Lots of people, including folks like doctors or profs and army scholars, have no idea how investing works. And this is why DIY finance or insurance did not take off in SG.

Many are not doing own research and many are falling into it because FA tend to not being straightforward, they technically dont lie but if you dont ask about the risk, they wont tell you. I had a friend who pitched me 11 years ago, needless to say, we are no longer friend lol.. he is a scum

I had a bet with my FA friend(very very close). I buy a 6k ILP x8 year from him and I ownself do my way. It has been 8 years I won like by x2 the amount just by VWRA DCA and at the same time felt like I lost so much.

What’s the prize for the bet? Is it higher than the commission?

Just one round of food and drinks. Would say lost about 40kish of opportunity cost.

i'd be embarrassed if i fed my child for 18 years and they became a financial advisor

no doubt ilps are the most profitable plans. Put a disclaimer, no guaranteed returns.

Seems like one of the better FA compared to the rest. At least he doesnt give scummy advise
  24. u/BoordL 1 3 days ago
Huh what? His entire video was how to sell more (entirely focused on making whatever mdrt/tot/cot, how to package XYZ a different way to get clients to buy) rather than anything at all about how to better advice clients or how to understand their needs. How is this a good agent?
