P&L Management or go all in on AI?

I’m a VP Marketing at a mid size CPG brand. A few years ago I started reaching general management level and was given a small ($100M) P&L to manage. Meanwhile, since I came up in my career through digital I also lead AI for commercial use cases at our company. I feel like my career is at a crossroads. Do I go all in on general management or all in on applied AI for sales and marketing? I always thought general management was the goal, but the demand for AI experience is super high right now. Whichever path I choose I feel like there is no going back.
