After 6 years of failing with ICT, SMC, and complex strategies, I went back to basic Support & Resistance. Here is the exact simple routine that finally got me funded and consistent payouts.

If you feel like your trading strategy is getting more and more complicated while your account size keeps shrinking, this post is for you. A few years ago, I was completely lost in the rabbit hole. If a strategy existed, I tried it: ICT (Spent endless hours marking up order blocks and liquidity sweeps) SMC Malaysian SnR Supply & Demand zones Indicator combos, custom Fibonacci settings... you name it. Every time I learned a new "advanced" concept, I thought this was going to be the secret key. But the result was always the same: overcomplicating chart analysis, hesitation, taking random setups, and ultimately blowing accounts or failing challenges. I took a step back and asked myself a simple question: "What actually worked for me when I first started before all the hype?" The answer was stupidly simple: Basic Support & Resistance and Break & Retest. I had abandoned simple market structure years ago because social media convinced me that basic S&R was "retail liquidity waiting to be swept" and that I needed complex institutional concepts. But looking back over the last 4 years, simplifying my approach completely changed my life. Here is the exact framework I stripped down to: 1 Pair: I only trade one instrument nasdaq. 1 Session: I trade one specific session window per day (9:30 to 11 est). 1 Trade A Day: Win or lose, I am done after 1 execution. This instantly eliminated my revenge trading and over-trading habits. 1R Target: I lock in fixed 1R risk-to-reward targets. Higher win rates with consistent 1R targets allowed me to pass funding challenges without holding trades through massive drawdowns or sweating out 1:5 setups that always reversed mid-way. Once I cut out all the noise and treated trading as a mechanical, 1h30 daily process instead of trying to predict every micro-pip move on the chart, the payouts finally started coming consistently. Over the past 4 years, I've used this exact system to get funded, pull regular payouts, and help several of my guys do the exact same. Trading isn't about outsmarting the market with a secret code, it's about discipline, risk management, and keeping things ridiculously simple. If anyone is currently stuck in the ICT/SMC rabbit hole or struggling with overcomplication, feel free to drop your questions below! Happy to break down how I set up my daily S&R levels or how I structure my execution routine. Im with 11 wins in row at the moment!
