is starting a marketing agency right career choice

i am at the crossroad of my life where i am paid really well , in senior leadership growth yet i feel i can do much more and whenever i see a company I could clearly see why their marketing clearly sucks i have this itch to do marketing and growth for everyone but my fear is if i work with 10 clients , what if i am not able to deliver to the 4 clients who are relying on me what should i do? for context here is my experience stating some of the things me and my team achieved → 27M influencer marketing views in a week at \~$2 CPM → Took a company from $200K → $11M ARR in 10 weeks through growth hacks → 1B+ UGC views from upcoming creators at \~$0.80 CPM → 7 Product Hunt #1 spots in a month (2 companies raised after) → 10M+ Reddit views → 30+ monthly enterprise demos → Shipped + marketed products generating $150K+ through PLG, Reddit & SEO → 3M monthly SEO signups in the US → Newsletters to 20K subs + webinars with 500 avg attendees and 40% retention → 62+ community events, including one with 10K+ offline participants → Events with Pan-IIT, Government of India & OpenAI → Personal brands to 50K+ followers + 20M monthly views → \~$100K/month in US ad spend → Product role on a product with millions of global users + built a viral referral (4 in 10 users referring in SEA) program → 1 year in VC understanding user + investor storytelling → TikTok Shop brands doing \~$3M/month → 5 viral X/LinkedIn launches, highest at 500K views → PR narrative generating 30M+ coverage/views

What could you have accomplished by yourself? No team to help with anything?

it's me and my team across different part of my life ( not always the same team)

Ok, I love that you have that, but again, what could you have done alone. Because that’s what it’ll be for a few years as you (hopefully) get off the ground. So what could you do alone? (All while running a business.) If the economy was headed in a different direction, and that many places will just be cheap and lean on AI for marketing strategies, I wouldn’t be so point blank about it. But no, enjoy your nice paychecks.

There are so many doing the same so... it'll be really really hard. I'd say jump in when you have your first big client that you can survive off of. Until then I wouldnt leave a steady job in this environment. good luck!

Are you interested in running a business? Payroll, taxes, pitching business? You’d probably be doing less marketing and more managing.
