Always Iterating Never Launching.

 # The Background I learnt computer science during my schooling during 90's and early 2000's when they thought Basic and Visual Basic. I understood the language of 1's and 0's very well and the concept of functions. Fell in love with it. But for some reason never pursued it further. Passed out and got into my dad's business - got my hands dirty again playing with code and trying to build the website for my business - a static html website. Didn't understand a thing and wasnt able to build anything just did I little bit of spelling corrections here and there but got to know about Filezilla and css and html.  Then after a few years came to know about WordPress and Elementor and oh man how easy it was to build websites. Built a basic version that I was of proud of at that time.  Rebuilt the website completely during covid, learnt after effects made a few animations converted them to lottie and used them on my website.  # The Curiosity  It all started with a simple question what happens when I click on a button. How does it all work? This simple question lead to a lot of things and finally reignited my passion and love to code that was lost in my daily grind of my business. # The Start of the Journey  Started with ruby on rails learnt about apache and creating a local dev version and how excited I was to see the welcome message on my laptop. Mind this was in 2022 - pre AI era learnt from YouTube and a lot of Google search and stackoverflow. Abondoned ruby on rails as there were not enough projects built on ror for me to refer and code. Moved on to php and finally settled for laravel. I started with laravel v5 or I think v7. I could understand it because of its mvc framework and the ecosystem of videos, open source projects, and documentation. Finally I came to a point in my life where I had to augment my income and I decided to build a sass app - simple target of 100 - 200 paying users - 10 usd each. Seems achievable when my target pool is more than 4 billion using the Internet and assuming about a 100 million users would be paying atleast 10usd for an app somewhere. After all these years the target is still the same. So, I zeroed in on creating CRM sass app learnt about permissions and roles, how to save, how to edit, etc. Luckily for me Tailwindcss was launched around the same time. So building frontend became easy. I realized that in its simplest form the whole set up is just doing crud on an excel table with a ui on the Web. That's it for now. Will post again with - The Struggles. Always Iterating Never Launching.

The launch is where it gets real, everything before is just practice in a safe space. I had similar thing with a coin inventory app, kept adding features until I forgot why I started. What is the one thing you would need to cut to ship a version this month?

I launched and made apps just for the love for it and to flex my coding skills - all before AI - made a community app for people to keep a record of their fellow members like when is their birthday or if they or anyone in their family has health related issues or if they need some financial or medical or moral guidance help. Who are their family members what is their backstory how did they come to this city? The intention for this app was to keep a record so that we can help them and when the committee changes we can hand over the data to them so that they don't have to start with scratch. Built another couple of apps - all were either free or demonstrators.
