July CPI cooled to 3.4% and I’m trying to check out gold here

July CPI came in at 0.1% MoM and 3.4% YoY, while core CPI printed 0.2% MoM and 2.5% YoY. That softer inflation picture has given gold a supportive backdrop. gold has already moved from my 4,330 to 4,350 area toward 4,410, with 4,470 still the level I’m watching above. At this point, I’d rather see buyers defend a pullback than chase the move. CPI volatility also highlights something that matters more as position size grows: execution. Wider spreads and thinner depth can push larger orders through multiple price levels, turning a good setup into a worse actual entry.
