Why does she only buy options that are already deep in the money? Wouldn’t it be cheaper and make more profit it’s it’s out of the money when she buys it and the price gets closer to the strike price?

Has more intrinsic value by being deep ITM = less theta decay and lower overall downside.

The percentage gain would be higher yes but also the percentage loss. Deep ITM there is way less theta loss but still more delta than buying the same amount of $ in shares.

You basically get close to a dollar for dollar exposure to share price, but you get leverage. She’s essentially getting more shares for the same amount of capital.

Cheap way to get leverage. Almost 2x and it’s basically free as the extrinsic value will be stable for the few months she holds the position. Look to 90 delta calls 365+ days out. You can also do calendar spreads with PMCC if you get bored of waiting or if the stock pops and you want to lock-in gains.

No. She’s essentially buying shares cheaper with delta close to 1. 2000 shares back then would have been $2.3MM. 200 contracts with that strike right now would be $1.05 million. Back on 5/9 call it $1.2MM. She’s not trying to diamond hands

Because she isn't a degenerate. Buying way ITM options is like buying stock, except you don't need nearly as much money, to buy the same equivalent amount of stock. It is a type of leverage buying, that isn't 0DTE gambling.

Deep ITM calls basically a cheap way of getting exposure to the stock (almost 1 delta). You are getting leverage through the option, but can't get margin called like if you were margin financing the same cash position

Cheaper net difference, much higher likelihood of expiration itm. As an example today you would get into her UBer trade at -$2.15 Net cost vs today’s price and her INTC around -$1 Net cost , low entry and just exit once it’s a nice profit, enough time to expiration to have nice swings on each and exit

Noob question. What is this current price $51.20 for INTC here? Because current price of INTC stock is almost $100.

Im assuming those were deep in the money call options. Half the price, same upside as the stock. No dividends though. And around 3m before the end date you have to sell or you need to be aware of the delta.

$51.20 is the cost of the options contract not the stock price

Cost of each position today pre open Intc $50 3/19/27 ex $51.20 last trade Uber $50 3/19/27 ex $30.50 last trade
