I can’t take the CEO slop spewing earnings calls anymore…..

The CRWV CEO, Mike Intrator, spent >30 minutes clearly reading straight from a blatantly obvious LLM-written monologue on yesterday’s earnings call. Overall, earnings calls have become entirely unbearable to listen to anymore… it’s like a challenge where they test to see how much fluff and buzzwords the CEO can squeeze by robotically reading from a transcript. Of course with the goal of triggering the algos to pump the stock positively. These calls are not intended to provide information to human shareholders anymore… the CEOs are literally speaking directly to algorithms. They should just make the press releases more detailed and shorten the calls to be guidance plus Q&A.

Noticed this from the MSFT CFO as well, then she sounded v different under questioning. They’re essentially just admin people with social skills so they’re happy to outsource their brain I guess

well, what matters is the numbers. Algos pump is just overnight noise

Numbers are important, but stock market is forward looking, so plans are also something to consider.

Well, don't listen. The CEO only needs to do that if shareholders care if the price makes irratic moves because of algo trades. There could even be legal constraints on how to say things, since the company can be sued if somebody claims the CEO deliberately used a phrase which caused algos to move the needle and caused losses for somebody.

Yea.. but before at least they had to have the skill of being able to write bullshit that sounds real. Now everyone can do it.
