BYND - Another reason to stay away from individual stock sub on Reddit

Not trying to diss anyone, but seriously, your fellow Redditors shouldn't be the ones you listen to when it comes to investing, especially for meme-worthy stocks. Besides, most of those subs are echo chambers, sometimes you can't even tell if it's a bot or a hired professional hyping stuff up for a pump.

There was a spike to like $7 intraday in october or so of last year, I had only been investing for 3 months at the time. But it hasn't gone anywhere near since. But yeah that makes sense. I posted in here about TGT and people were saying it was dead. I didnt listen, but sold too early (around 105-110 after getting in at $85)

You're in the value investing sub talking about a failed short-squeeze investment? Read the room...

just a friendly reminder, while this is a value investing sub, there are still more non-value investor than die heart value investor i would say

I'm not a true-value investor. However, in this sub I mostly stick to posts about value investments because that's the point of the this sub. It is inappropriate to talk about HRTZ or BYND because short-sell speculation isn't value investing. It feels weird to use BYND as an example of this forum giving bad advice when the people on here are literally here because they advocate against that style of investing.

It's hilarious this quietly happened today, gety yesterday, and meanwhile all the wsb apes are hyping a literal replica of those two plays: htz. Wen memes at least had some pretty uh appealing memes tho .. so kudos there.... Im jealous of gains on stocks I sold too soon or maybe barely didn't choose on value and they run.... I'm never jealous of gains on this garbage.

I made 30k on bynd in summer 2025. But no, obviously it was never value investing, why even post here.

I've been following for BYND for a bunch of months now as a Canadian vegetarian it used to be available and my go to at A&W because it has one or the better nutritional makeups, I would slam back 3 to get some easy calories in, A&W now has a new in house formal that makes me feel sick after only eating 2 so I stopped going there for Harvey's instead.  In terms of products I really like the burgers and sausages, but the steak tips might be their best offering The revenue took a sharp decline as they began to get costs under control over the last couple years and this was the first quarter it was up. I haven't delved into this last quarterly yet but prior to it they improved dramatically from just a year prior. I do worry that they don't have any sort of strong moat so I'm not necessarily buying more or selling, but sometimes a moat comes from something as simple as consistant r&d and listening to your customers and thats what BYND seems to be good at. I luckily had bought a bunch before the last short squeeze, not that it was mo goal so I am at least break even now after trimming then, Im still undecided if I should dive in again when other opportunities are so attractive in the market
