I don't think it matters. Retailers are just a small segment among the big players.
  3. u/salvation_seeker44 OP 1 17 hours ago
Resistance even symbolic is enough for that sake
  4. u/ironicalbanda 1 16 hours ago
😂🤣 you all are so naive
  5. u/Relaxed-_- 1 17 hours ago
    Small segment matters too
  6. u/RaspberryDistinct222 1 17 hours ago
It never mattered and never will You are still going on with emotional trading
  7. u/MrPancholi 1 17 hours ago
Nirmala Sitaraman once literally said that retail investors are vital and are even a force big enough to keep markets afloat
  8. u/yolokinnan 1 16 hours ago
    Every drop matters
  9. u/romka79 1 16 hours ago
Not anymore ... Retail collective more than 35%+ of the market https://preview.redd.it/c85f9qrs4vih1.jpe…
  10. u/silentintrovert95 1 16 hours ago
Who else can big players make money from?
  11. u/narasadow 1 16 hours ago
Retail is \~40%, not small by any angle
  12. u/green_tomato_69 1 13 hours ago
That number means little when you realise that retailers, unlike institutions, don't trade in a collectively large volume. It doesn't matter if tomorrow retail particiption is 60% or more. Unless they work together trading in heavy volumes, institutions will ALWAYS win. Volume matters in trading, not participation. More than half the retailers are basically gamblers here and of the remaining, majority trade with emotions. There's a reason why 95% retailers are in loss...
  13. u/narasadow 1 12 hours ago
Why do you care about 95%? Are you the government? As a trader you should be focused on joining that 5% profitable retail using various data analysis and discipline. Let others gamble.

It has been in talks since CAS was announced. You could have read it if you were not sleeping in your cave.
  23. u/LogicalBeast26 1 11 hours ago
    To protest against CAS
  24. u/green_tomato_69 1 17 hours ago
Jokes on you. Money sees no morality or ethics. Ask anyone who's a proper traders/invester. You boycotting trading today shows that you still involve emotions into trading and no offence but that's one of the main reasons you'll never be able to become a proper trader....

  44. u/Alternative-Feed-779 1 14 hours ago
    Data
  45. u/ForsakenNature3006 1 13 hours ago
According to data there are 1.2 million regular active fno traders in india according to july 2026.
  46. u/acdhemtos 1 13 hours ago
What's the daily average? How much is that by volume? What percentage is that?
  47. u/HungryObligation5745 1 13 hours ago
"regular" doesn't mean daily. I also engage in selling monthly covered calls for a bunch of my stocks but I hardly even trade 2-3 days in a month.
  48. u/ForsakenNature3006 1 13 hours ago
    Are u regular trader?
  49. u/HungryObligation5745 1 13 hours ago
Didn't you read what I wrote? Do you even know what "regular" means in the context of "1.2 million regular fno traders" data you quoted?
  50. u/ForsakenNature3006 1 13 hours ago
Notwithstanding my previous comment I just asked u simply do u trade regularly( daily) or occasionally?

Good. The FM wants retail trading to end. All teh steps from reducing weekly expiries and now CAS are to dissuade the retails folks from trading so that they can allocate more money for consumption and save the economy
