Good chance GME pumps before Friday due to pay date convergence

In case you’re not aware, GME has a tendency to see large price movements prior to working class pay dates, specifically those where multiple pay schedules (twice monthly, every two weeks, weekly) happen to fall on the same day. How this typically presents is either they dump the price and crush IV right after significant pay dates (if we are directionally lower or reversal top), or they pump the price and IV going into the pay date (if we are directionally higher or reversal bottom). On Friday, about 79% of US workers will be paid, leaving out primarily just those who are paid biweekly on the opposite schedule (ie got paid last week and will get paid next week). Therefore, there is a decent chance the pump begins tomorrow or Thursday, whether via simple price action or some type of news/catalyst moving us higher. I have paid close attention to this for the last several years and it has a very high success rate, but it isn’t perfect, primarily because of predicting the reversals. My bet is we are up from here and you will see heavy FUD until we pump, in a last ditch effort by shills/plants to get people to sell.

It’s about GME price action and retail flows

You guys have to learn what a shill is. Shills get you to buy, not sell. “In the stock market and online investment communities, a **shill** is a person who secretly promotes a specific stock or investment for personal gain while pretending to be an impartial, enthusiastic observer or customer. These individuals often disguise their financial interests to manipulate public perception, drive up demand, or create artificial hype around a company, such as during a short squeeze.”

Could you do it without trying to shit on others?

Make your displeasure with how the company you are a partial owner of is being run known? Believe it or not, jail.
  13. u/metalgrizzlycannon 1 21 hours ago
At least there are *some* reasonable people still lurking here to even out the constant opium shills who can't understand basic fundamentals such as gamestop actually has debt.
  14. u/Plane_Suggestion_189 1 21 hours ago
I wouldn’t even care about the debt(unless it’s 40 billion dollars which is about what it would have taken to buy ebay) as long as we were actually leveraging it to grow. We’re not. Ryan turned out to be one timid investor it seems.

A shill for Citadel would want us to sell dude. It goes both ways
  16. u/What-Is-The-Internet 1 21 hours ago
That wouldn’t be a shill then. Shilling literally is defined by getting people to buy a stock. IE someone hypes something up then does a rug pull. No one’s out here shilling for citadel, I’ve never seen one post where someone here is trying to convince me to invest in citadel. Aka shilling for citadel.
  17. u/Jayrad102230 1 21 hours ago
What is the person called who wants you to sell a certain stock because their boss is betting against the company? Genuinely curious if there is a term for it
  18. u/What-Is-The-Internet 1 21 hours ago
    A gay bear
  19. u/Plane_Suggestion_189 1 21 hours ago
A shill at citadel doesn’t give a shit anymore because they know RC is going to bail them out, and apes voted overwhelmingly to let him do it. I don’t even believe in MOASS anymore. I just want the deep value I was promised.

A shipl for citadel would want you to buy calls that expire OTM.

  30. u/Burnquist1 1 19 hours ago
We literally didn't and all you had to do was check. Like many things on this sub, "pumping" before recurring computershare buys simply wasn't true. The user that regularly posted that WANTED it to be true as shown in the graphics they made for it. Notice they are gone now. In reality it was rarely even the high of the day and was proven to have little to no impact at all on share price. Always fact check people on the internet because they are hardly ever correct.

Your post sucks, that's why is downvoted
  38. u/VelvetPancakes OP 1 20 hours ago
Why, we saw them pump it prior to recurring computershare buys, you think they wouldn’t do the same for our paychecks? Provide some feedback, I can take constructive criticism
  39. u/Substantial_Diver_34 1 21 hours ago
This guy thinks retail can move a stock when the orders don’t even go through the lit market. MMs don’t even hedge the options anymore.
  40. u/VelvetPancakes OP 1 21 hours ago
Guess we will find out in a few days eh

I've held through somewhere around 132 pay days now and I'm still a poor

Me too buddy, but short-term I believe we are moving up
  43. u/Dapper-Warthog-3481 1 21 hours ago
It’s exactly the kind of thing I’d expect. Yes, run it up and put it in the news just before payday. They start shorting again after payday.
  44. u/VelvetPancakes OP 1 21 hours ago
Why wouldn’t they, it is free money for them, they know exactly when we get paid and buy

Pump prior to Friday, or dump early next week. Because of the current price point, a reversal into an uptrend is much more likely. If we don’t move up prior to Friday then I’ll pick up a small hedge against further downside on Friday for OPEX next week. But you do you, at least I provided specific actionable timeframes for potential moves based on historical price action around pay dates. If you want to backtest it yourself, feel free.

Now I don't know whether to up or down vote you... I like your post, but you seem encouraged by the down votes, and I'd like to encourage you further. Damn you! You've made a simple process unnecessarily complicated!
