same here, some calls expire friday but I'm mostly in leaps for jan 2028. If friday calls pay off the gains go directly into more leaps

a leap is an option where the expire is far out about 1-3 years, in case of Hertz this is at least for me a bet on restructure from the EV desaster back to ICE cars. Long dated options can be very expensive but for htz is't very good

Leaps are longer dated options you pay less premium per unit of delta exposure the deeper into the money you buy. The goal of a leap is to prevent theta from chipping away at the value as fast, and give more time for the thesis to play out.

Actually 2.70 to 2.77 is the resistance. That’s where a lot entered the short trade. It’s failed 3 times to break that but if it does, straight to 3.50

I think the difference here is that there is an actual recovery play which is making the stock particularly manic and unpredictable. Like if this was a Chinese shit co then selling would have been the only call after a retrace but this thing is wide open right now.

For the last two days almost every single person on this sub had been saying the play is dead and to get out and calling everyone in a bagholder. Then it shoots up 25%. The truth is no one knows.
